ORDERModi, J.1. This is a revision by the defendant Ranulal in a case which is pending in the Court of the Additional Civil Judge, Jodhpur, and raises a question of jurisdiction.2. The contesting opposite parties instituted a suit against the petitioner and opposite party No. 3 for recovery of money in the Court of the Civil judge Jodhpur, on the 28th September 1954. This was later transferred to the Court of the Additional Civil Judge, Jodhpur, where it is pending at the moment. On the 26th July 1956, the petitioner made an application before the trial Judge contending that he had no jurisdiction to try the case. There is no dispute that the cause of action for the suit arose at Pokaran and defendant opposite party No. 3 is also a resident of Pokaran.The petitioner lives in Balotra, and it is urged that Pokaran as well as Balotra are outside the territorial limits of the Civil Judge, Jodhpur, and consequently the Additional Civil Judge can have no jurisdiction to try this case. Wanchoo, C.J. 1. This is an appeal by Dhula who has been convicted under Section 302. I. P. C. by the Sessions Judge of Udaipur, and sentenced to transportation for life.2. A report was made in chowki Chavnu on 22nd of March, 1954, by one Mawa Mina of village Veerpura. In this report, he said that Dhula accused of Veepura had killed his wife Mst. Kuri with an axe, and had run away. Information of this was sent by Head Constable Abdul Rahim of the Chowki to the police station, Sarara.Head Constable Abdul Rahim went to the spot at once, and started search for the accused who was, however, not found. He also arranged to keep watch over the dead body till the superior officers arrived on the scene.3. The prosecution case briefly was that the accused suspected the character of his wife, and there had been some quarrel between him and his wife sometime before the incident. This is a revision by the accused Jhumarlal and raises an interesting point of procedure relating to the right of an accused to obtain copies of certain statements made to the police under Section 162, Cr. P. C.2. The accused petitioner is being prosecuted under Section 182. I.P.C., in the court of the Second Class Magistrate, Pali. The allegation against him is that he had made a report of theft against certain persons in the police, and this report was investigated, and the police came to the conclusion that it was false and thereby he had rendered himself liable to be proceeded against under Section 182. I. P. C. Consequently, thp Sub-Inspector in charge of police thana, Pali, filed a complaint against the petitioner in the court of the First Class Magistrate. Bapna, J.1. This is a petition under Arc. 226 of the Conatitution of India, and arises in the following circumstances:2. One Thakur Sheodan Singh was Jagirdar of six-anna share in the Jagir of Dhigwara, and was succeeded by his son Gopal Singh. Thakur Gopal Singh had no male issue, and he made an application to the Government of His Highness the Maharaja of Alwar on the 24th of February, 1945, under Rule 5 of the Alwar State Jagir Rules for permission to adopt Basant Singh. The pedigree was as follows: SHEODAN SINGH ______________|______________ | | | Gopal singh Bahadur singh Jawahar singh | | Mangal singh Basant singh and two other sons. The permission was given by the Executive Council, of Alwar on 2nd May, 1946. Sharma, J.1. The appellant Ramanand was Assistant Station Master of Neem-ka-Thana Station in the years 1943 and 1944. He was dismissed from service on 12th May, 1944, on the ground that he had despatched 75 bags of chillies without booking them. He addressed a notice dated 3rd January, 1950, to the Dominion of India through the General Manager, B. B. & C. I. Railway stating that he had been wrongfully dismissed on account of the prejudice of the then Traffic Superintendent, though it was wrong that 75 bags of chillies had been despatched by him without any booking.He said in that notice that he had no other remedy to get himself re-employed except by knocking at the door of the Court of law, and said in the end that if within two months he would not be reinstated, he would take legal action against the Railway, and it would be responsible for his expenses and losses incurred thereby.This notice was followed by the suit out of which this appeal arises, and which was filed on 11th of May...
