The appellants have preferred these two separate appeals challenging the common judgment and order of conviction and sentence imposed on them by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kalna for the offence under Sections 304-B and 498-A of the Indian Penal Code (hereinafter called the IPC) in Sessions Trial No. 1 of 2002 arising out of Sessions Case No. 46/01.
