ORDER1. This is an application by the defendants/petitioners under S. 8 of the Arbitration and Concilition Act, 1996 ('the said Act' for short) inter alia for an order for reference of the claim of the plaintiff in this suit to arbitration in terms of the arbitration agreements entered into by and between the plaintiff and the first petitioner Grupco Mining & Co. Ltd. The said arbitration agreements are contained in two several lease agreements respectively dt. 9th Sept. 1994 and 21st Oct. 1994. The said lease agreements are signed by 'the plaintiff and the first 'petitioner. The said lease agreements, are both annexures to the present application.2. Two revisional applications being Criminal Revision No. 1102 of 1996 & Criminal Revision No. 1080 of 1996 were heard together and shall be governed by a single Judgment. The petitioner in both the revisional applications are the same, so also the respondents.2. On 11th April, 1991 certain officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation, hereinafter referred to as C.B.I. conducted a search in the residence, as well as some other places including Bank lockers belonging to the petitioner and thereafter two R.C. cases being 24 of 1991 and 5 of 1991 were started against the petitioner.3.
