Seller made an application to the concerned authorities under Section 230A of the Income Tax Act (for short, the Act) for issuance of necessary certificate to enable the registration of the document in question, in as much as, the income-tax clearance certificate is required before a property is registered. The case of the petitioner is that there were two separate agreements for consideration of Rs. 20,00,000 each between the parties relating to the property mentioned in the schedule.
