ORDERP.D. Dinakaran, C.J.1. The petitioners, who are agriculturists, are members of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, Hiriyur Branch, Hiriyur have preferred this public interest litigation on behalf of the members of the Sangha and other agriculturists cultivating the land under the Vanivilas Sagar Dam seeking the following reliefs:i) to issue a mandamus directing the respondents to denotify the orders of forfeiture of lands to the Government in the area of Vanivilas Sagar Dam, Achukattu, in respect of those who have not paid the land revenue; andii) issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to waive off the land revenue imposed on the lands in the area of Vanivilas Sagar Dam, Achukattu.2.
