In this writ petition the petitioners have prayed for a direction on the respondents to pay the arrears of salary at the revised UGC scale for the period from 15.11.2000 to 28.2.2002, which has been paid to the similarly situated Teachers of the Ranchi University, but has not been paid to the petitioners due to the apathy of the concerned respondents. It has been stated that the petitioners retired from the services and after their retirement they were entitled to get all the service dues as well as the retiral dues.
