This is a motion for the admission of a civil revision directed against the order of the learned Additional District Judge, Srinagar, dt. 16-9-1987, confirming in an appeal, the order of the learned city Munsiff, Srinagar, dt. 17-7-1986, rejecting an application of the petitioner for grant of ad interim injunction.2. It appears that the petitioner has filed a suit for declaration that the order of cancellation of his admission in the M.D. Course issued by the respondents is invalid, and also praying for an injunction restraining them from cancelling the same.3. It is averred in the plaint that he fulfilled all the requisite qualifications for admission to the M. D. course, and therefore, was selected for the same. After sometime, somebody filed a complaint against him that he had passed the M.B.B.S., Course in four attempts and not in two attempts, as shown by him, which resulted in the cancellation of his admission without any proper inquiry. ORDERM.A. Shah, J.1. The petitioner was granted provisional admission in the LL.B. (1st term) Course of the Jammu University for the Academic Session 1982-83 in the Department of Law. His admission was cancelled by respondent No. 5. The Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, acting through its Chairman, University of Jammu by Notice No. Law/328-36 dated October, 25, 1982 issued by respondent No. 4 the Head of the Department, Faculty of law cancelled the admission. The petitioner has, therefore, by this writ petition prayed for the quashing of the said cancellation order by a writ of certiorari and have further prayed for an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to pursue and continue his studies in the LL.B. ORDERR.P. Sethi, J.1. The petitioners who claim to be the grandsons of Kahan Chand applied to the Dy. Commissioner, Srinagar for the grant of certificate of being permanent residents of the State as they happened to be the State subjects under law. On their application being dismissed by the Dy. Commissioner, the petitioners preferred a revision petition before the Dy. Chief Minister/Revenue Minister of the State of J & K, who vide his order annexure A held that the petitioners were entitled to the status of permanent residents of the State and set aside the order of Dy. Commissioner. Aggrieved by the order of Dy. Chief Minister, the respondent-State presented a petition before the Revenue Minister for the review of hisjudgment who vide his order dt. 8th Aug. 1978 dismissed the same by upholding the order of giving State subject status to the petitioners.
