1. Heard both sides. 2. Refund claims of Rs.50,996/- and Rs.4,65,269/-of the appellant-SEZ unit have been rejected under the impugned orders passed by the authorities below. The claims relate to the period March 2009 to June 2009 which were submitted in November 2009. Part of the claim has been filed beyond six months. The learned counsel appearing for the appellants states that Notification No. 9/2009 in paragraph 2(f) stipulates the refund claims to be filed within six months or such extended period as the Asst. Commissioner / Deputy Commissioner may permit. She states that there were genuine reasons for which part of the refund claim could not be filed within the period of six months and she prays for a second chance to be given to the appellants to furnish adequate reasons supported by documents for consideration of the Asst. Commissioner / Deputy Commissioner to allow a short extension which will cover the early part of the refund claims which has been submitted beyond six months....
