Oral Order (Per Smt M. Shreesha, Honble Member) Aggrieved by the order in C.D.No.369/2003 on the file of District Forum, Karimnagar, the complainant preferred this appeal. The brief facts as set out in the complaint are that the opposite party has established a firm under the name and style of M/s. J.R.Securities Ltd., in the year 1996 and introduced a fixed deposit scheme. The opposite party is the Promoter-cum-Managing Partner of the said finance firm and attracted by the offer made by the opposite party for investment in fixed deposit, the complainant deposited an amount of Rs.2,22,000/- with the opposite party and the opposite party issued 44 fixed deposit cards for Rs.5000/- each on 17.6.1996 fixing the maturity value as Rs.10,000/- payable on 17.6.2002 for each deposit. The facts that led to filing this appeal are briefly as follows: The complainant purchased on 6-8-2004 a Tata Indica DLS car and obtained an insurance policy in respect of the said car from the opposite parties. On 17-8-2004 while he was proceeding on N.H.5 on the way of Eluru as he reached Bheemadole at about 9.10 p.m. he met with an accident and the car was extensively damaged. The facts of the case stated briefly are as follows: According to the complainant, he fell down from an easy chair at Sangareddy at his friends house and developed pain in the left hand arm on 2-7-2002 (sic 2001). Immediately he was admitted in a local nursing home and took treatment.
