This petition under Section 482 of CrPC seeks quashing of the proceedings in CC No.1 of 1999 on the file of the Judicial first class Magistrate, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District which was taken cognizance on the complaint of respondent no.1 herein in which the petitioners are sought to be prosecuted for an offence under Section 120B , 166, 219, 220, 341, 342, 458(1) of IPC read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code on the ground that cognizance of these offences ought not to have been taken on the ground of want of sanction under Section 197 of CrPC for prosecuting the petitioners who are public servants entitled to protection under Section 197 of CrPC. 3. No. 44 of 1993 on the file of the Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Visakhapatnam. The Labour Court directed reinstatement of the respondent-workman into service with full back wages from the date of his illegal termination. ORDER1. An extent of Ac.8.00 of land comprised in Sy.Nos.108, 109 and 110 of Medepalli village, Enkoor Mandal, Khammam District is the subject matter of the writ petition. Indeed, it has been subject matter of disputes under the A.P. (Telangana Area) Tenancy & Agricultural Lands Act, 1950 ('the Act' for brevity). It is alleged that the third respondent is a tenant for the said land. In April, 1958, he sold the land to two persons who in turn by a registered sale deed dated 15-6-1961sold an extent of Ac.6-00 to one Ratnakumari. ORDERS.R. Nayak, J. 1. Initially in this petition, the petitioner had assailed the show cause notice dated 29-8-2000 issued by the first respondent. During the pendency of the writ petition, the first respondent passed an order on 13-9-2000 cancelling the Registration Certificate issued under the A.P. General Sales Tax Act, 1957 (the Act, for short) purportedly in exercise of the power vested in him under Section 12(17) of the Act. There afterwards the petitioner has filed WP MP No.24627 of 2000 seeking amendment of the writ petition so as to seek quashing of the order of the first respondent dated 13-9-2000.
