ORDERP. Venkatarama Reddy, J.1. The order questioned in the present Writ Petitions is the order of the Labour Court in Second Appeal Nos. 34, 35, 39, 41, 42 and 45 of 1982 dated 31-12-1985 in so far as the said order is against the Petitioners-workmen. The Labour Court confirmed the order passed by the Assistant Commissioner of Labour, City Circle-II, Hyderabad, acting an authority under the A.P. Shops arid Establishments Act and dismissed the Appeals of the Management. The Labour Court held that the domestic enquiry conducted against the workmen was not valid in law and that the management did not seek for an opportunity to adduce evidence. The Labour Court agreed with the Shops and Establishments Authority that reinstatement need not be ordered despite the invalidity of the termination orders and held concuring with the view of the said authority that 30 month's compensation is proper. These appeals and the revision petitions arise out of a common Notification issued on 25-8-82 by the Land Acquisition Officer, Rajahmundry under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, ('the Act' for brevity). On reference at the instance of the claimants, the learned Subordinate Judge, Rajahmundry, passed separate orders in different O.Ps. filed by the claimants. As these appeals and revision petitions involve common points and common questions of law, they may be disposed of by a common judgment.2. The Petitioner/Corporation issued an advertisement published in Eenadu Telugu Daily Newspaper dated: 19.03.1991 calling for applications for recruitment to five (5) posts of Stenographers. The respondent, herein, is one of the applicants. The Petitioner/Corporation conducted a pre-recruitment test for the purpose of selection of the candidates. The respondent herein was not called for the written test. At that stage, she approached the District Forum, Krishna at Machilipatnam.
