ORDERW. Broome, J. 1. Ram Sunder Dubey, the applicant in this Criminal Revision has been convicted by a Second Class Magistrate of Bareilly for an offence under Section 309, I. P. C. and has been sentenced to four months' S. I. and a fine of Rs. 200/-. His conviction and sentence were confirmed in appeal by the Assistant Sessions Judge of Bareilly.2. The prosecution allegations were that the accused-applicant attempted to commit suicide by resorting to hunger strike. He was employed in the Mental Hospital, Bareilly, but was suspended from service. He alleged that the authorities in charge of the institution were guilty of unfair discrimination and on 27-2-1960, in order to coerce them into reinstating him, he lay down on a bed near the Gandhi statue in the heart of the city of Bareilly, flanked by placards proclaiming his grievances, and proceeded to fast on 1-3-1960 the Station Officer of the Bareilly Kotwali found that the accused's condition was deteriorating and hence had him trans...

The petitioner Sri Iqbal Ahmad is a member of the Town Area Committee, Sikandarpur (hereinafter referred to as the Committee), The said Committee has been superseded by the State Government under Section 36 of the U. P. Town Areas Act (hereinafter referred to as the Act) by means of an order dated 8th of March, 1960, published in the issue of the State Gazette dated 19th March, 1960. The said order reads as follows :'Whereas the Governor is satisfied that the Town Area Committee, Sikandarpur, district Ballia has persistently made default in the performance Of its duties imposed on it under the U. P. Town Areas Act, 1914 (Act II of 1914), viz., the Committee failed in preparing the assessment list for the years 1958-59 and 1959-60 within the time prescribed by the rules, the Committee failed to utilise the road grant or move for extension of time limit for utilising the same within the time allowed, it failed to finalise its budget estimates for the year 1958-59...

1. This execution appeal arises out of an order of the court below deciding certain objections filed by certain persons named Hub Lal, Sukhram, Hira Lal and Bali Charan. The circumstances in which the objections by these persons happened, to be made were these:2. The appellant Rani Malti Devi obtained a decree for money in a suit which she had filed against Sushil Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Kusum Kumari. The decree was put into execution on the 30th May 1951 for a sum of over rupees twenty two thousands odd. In respect of the execution the decree-holder prayed for orders against certain persons in the nature of garnishes orders calling upon these persons, who, it was alleged, were debtors of the aforesaid judgment-debtors of Rani Malti Devi, not to pay the debt that they owed to the four judgment-debtors of Malti Devi.
