WHEREAS it is expedient to consolidate and amend the law relating to urban municipal affairs in West Bengal; It is hereby enacted as follows : PART 1 . CHAPTER 1 Preliminary Section 1 Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993.
