Preamble1 - The Uttaranchal Open University Act, 2005 Section1 - Short title and Commencement Section2 - Definition In this Act Section3 - Establishment and incorporation of the university Section4 - The Objects of the University The university shall promote dissemination of learning and knowledge through distance Section5 - Powers of the University The University shall have the following powers, namely Section6 - Territorial exercise of powers Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, the Section7 - University open to all classes and creeds Section8 - Inspection and Inquiry Section9 - Officers of the University The following shall be the officers of the University Section10 - The Chancellor Section11 - The Vice Chancellor Section12 - The Director Every Director shall be appointed in such manner, on such emoluments and other conditions of service, Section13 - The Registrar Section14 - The Finance Officer The Finance Officer, shall be appointed in such manner, on such emoluments and other conditions Section15 - Other Officers The manner of appointment, emoluments, powers and duties of the other officers of the University shall Section16 - Authorities of the University The following shall be authorities of the University Section17 - The Executive Council Section18 - The Academic Council Section19 - The Planning Board Section20 - The schools of Studies Section21 - The Finance Committee The constitution, powers and functions of Finance Committee shall be such as may be prescribed Section22 - Other Authorities The constitution, powers and functions of the other authorities which may be declared by the Section23 - Establishment of University Fund The University shall establish a Fund to be called University Fund Section24 - Constitution of Fund The following shall form part of or be paid into the University Fund; Section25 - The University Fund shall be kept in any Scheduled Bank as defined in the Reserve.....
