.....Dissolution of Osmanabad and Parbhani Zilla Parishads and appointment of administrators :- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the principal Act or any rules, regulations or bye-laws made or notifications issued under thereunder, on the appointed date, the Osmanabad Zilla Parishad and the Parbhani Zilla Parishad shall stand dissolved. (2) When a Zilla Parishad is so dissolved, the following consequences shall ensue, that is to say,- (a) all Councillors and members of the Panchayat Samitis, Standing Committee, Subjects Committees or other Committees, if any, shall, from the appointed date vacate their offices as such Councillors or members; (b) all powers and duties of the Zilla Parishad, the Panchayat Samitis, the Standing Committee or Subjects Committees or other Committees shall, during the period from the appointed date upto, and inclusive of, the 30th June 1981 or such earlier date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette , specify (hereinafter in this Act referred to as "the said period") be exercised and performed by such person as the State Government may, from time to time, appoint in that behalf; (c) the person appointed under.....

THE PUNJAB GRAM PANCHAYAT, SAMITIES AND ZILLA PARISHAD CHANDIGARH REPEAL) ACT, 1994 [Act, No. 27 of 1994] [23rd April, 1994] PREAMBLE An Act to repeal the Punjab Gram Panchayat Act, 1952 and the Punjab Panchayat Samities and Zilla Parishads Act, 1961 as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh. Notwithstanding the repeal of the Punjab Gram Panchayat Act, 1952 (Punjab Act 4 of 1953) and the Punjab Panchayat Samities and Zilla Parishads Act, 1961( Punjab Act 3 of 1961) (hereinafter referred to as repealed Acts) the repeal shall not,- (a) affect the previous operation of the repealed Acts or anything duty done or suffered thereunder; or (b) affect any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the repealed Acts; or (c) affect any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against repealed Acts, affect any investigation, legal proceedings or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid, and any such investigation, legal proceeding or remedy may be instituted, continued or enforced, and any such privilege, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if this Act had not been passed.
