The Tuensang and Mon District (Assimilation of Law) 1974 Complete Act

.....the coming into force of this Act. (h) "Constitution" means the Constitution of India. (c) Laws means so much of any Act, Ordinance Regulations Rules, Orders or Bye-laws as relates to any matter enumerated in the State list and the Concurrent list in the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution and passed by a State Legislature and are in force in districts of Tuensang and Mon. 3. Assimilation of laws (I) All laws which before the appointed day extend to or are in force in the districts of Tuensang and Mon, shall with effect from the aforesaid day cease to extend or be in force in the districts of Mon and Tuensang except as respect things done before that day; "Provided the pending proceedings shall continue under the laws as were in force before the appointed day". 4. Power to remove Difficulties (2) All laws which before the appointed day extend to or are in force in the districts of Kohima and Mokokchung shall, as from the appointed day extend to or as the case may he, come into force in the districts of Tuensang and Mon. Title: Effect of Absorption of Panchayat Area into a Larger Urban Area
