Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Act 2009 Section 6

Title: Notification of Controlled Areas and Free Areas

.....measures against the disease, in such manner and within such time as the State Government, may, by public notice, direct. (4) The State Government shall make available necessary vaccine and it shall be obligatory on the part of every owner, or the person in charge of an animal which is required to be vaccinated under sub-section (3), to get the animal compulsorily vaccinated. (5) Where the State Government is satisfied, on a report received from the Director or otherwise, that, in any controlled area, any of the scheduled diseases affecting any species of animal is no longer prevalent, it may, by notification, declare the area to be a free area in respect of that disease in relation to the particular species of animal. (6) Where a notification has been issued under sub-section (5), no animal of the species or of any other susceptible species with regard to which it is a free area shall be allowed to enter the free area unless duly immunized by vaccination against that particular disease.

In section 123 of the principal Act, in clause (7),-- (i) for the words "from any person in the service of the Government", the words "from any person whether or not in the service of the Government" shall be substituted; (ii) after sub-clause (g), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:-- "(h) class of persons in the service of a local authority, university, government company or institution or concern or undertaking appointed or deputed by the Election Commission in connection with the conduct of elections:".

Title: Precautionary Measures on Causative Organism, Etc.

.....or release; and (c) to warn and to protect everyone concerned in the event of any escape. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, every animal-- (a) used for the manufacture, testing or research as referred to sub-section (1), or (b) which is likely to carry or transmit any scheduled disease, shall be promptly administered euthanasia and disposed of by the person in charge of or having control of the institution, laboratory or clinic, as the case may be, referred to in that sub-section. (3) Every person who is in charge of or having control of an institution, laboratory or clinic referred to in sub-section (1) comply with the provisions of sub-section (1) and sub-section (2); and in the event of non-compliance he shall be guilty of an offence punishable with fine which may extend to twenty thousand rupees or imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with both, and in case the establishment is in commercial manufacturing of vaccines or medicine, a temporary suspension of licence up to a period of one year may also be imposed.

Title: Duty of Appropriate Government and Local Authority to Establish School

For carrying out the provisions of this Act, the appropriate Government and the local authority shall establish, within such area or limits of neighbourhood, as may be prescribed, a school, where it is not so established, within a period of three years from the commencement of this Act.

In the Unit Trust of India (Transfer of Undertaking and Repeal) Act, 2002, in section 13, in sub-section (/), for the words, figures and letters "the 31st day of March, 2009", the words, figures and letters "the 31st day of March, 2014" shall be substituted. Section 115 - Amendment of Chapter Vll of Finance (No. 2) Act, 2004 In Chapter VII of the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2004 (23 of 2004), after section 113, the following section shall be inserted with effect from the 1st day of October, 2009, namely:-- "113A. Chapter VII not to apply in certain cases.-- Notwithstanding anything contained in this Chapter, the provisions of this Chapter shall not apply to taxable securities transactions entered into by any person for, or on behalf of, the New Pension System Trust referred to in clause (44) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961).". Section 116 - Amendment of Act 18 of 2008 After section 121 of the Finance Act, 2008, the following section shall be inserted, namely:-- "121 A. Provisions of Chapter VII not to apply to taxable commodities transaction.-- Nothing contained in this Chapter shall apply to, or in relation to, the taxable commodities transaction.....

(b) The records referred to in clause (c) of sub-section (1) shall be maintained for a period of ten years from the date of cessation of transactions between the clients and the banking company or financial institution or intermediary, as the case maybe.".
