.....in certain cases If any person is charged with the offence of killing a goat, cow or its progeny contrary to the provisions of clause (1) of sub-section (1) of section 11, and it is proved that such person had in his possession, at the time the offence is alleged to have been committed, the skin of any such animal as is referred to in this section with any part of the skin of the head attached thereto, it shall be presumed until the contrary is proved that such animal was killed in a cruel manner. Section 31 - Cognizability of offences Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898), an offence punishable under clause (1), clause (n) or clause (oj of sub-section (1) of section II or under section 12 shall be a cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code. .....pass to the State in which the principal seat of business of the undertaking is located. (5) Where any body corporate constituted under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act for the State of Bombay or any part thereof has, by virtue of the provisions of Part II, become an inter-State body corporate, the investments in, or loans or advances to, any such body corporate by the State of Bombay made before the appointed day shall, save as otherwise expressly provided by or under this Act, be divided between the States of Maharashtra and Gujarat in the same proportion in which the assets of the body corporate are divided under the provisions of Part VII. Title: Provisions as to Sitting Members

(1) Every sitting member of the House of the People representing any parliamentary constituency the extent of which has been altered by virtue of the provisions of this Act shall, notwithstanding such alteration, be deemed to have been elected as from the appointed day to that House by that constituency as so altered. (2) Every sitting member of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Assam or Punjab or West Bengal representing any assembly constituency the extent of which has been altered by virtue of the provisions of this Act shall, notwithstanding such alteration, be deemed to have been elected as from the appointed day to the said Legislative Assembly by that constituency as so altered. (3) Every sitting member of the Legislative Council of Punjab or West Bengal representing any Council constituency the extent of which has been altered by virtue of the provisions of this Act, shall, notwithstanding such alteration, be deemed to have been elected as from the appointed day to the said Legislative Council by that constituency as so altered.

Title: Term of Office and Casual Vacancies

.....has been duly elected or nominated, whichever is longer : Provided that the term of office of a member elected under clause (a) or clause (b) of subsection (2) of section 5, or of a member of Parliament nominated under clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 5 shall come to an end as soon as he ceases to be a member of the House of the State Legislature which elected him, the managing committee or Parliament, as the case may be. (2) A member may at any time resign his office by giving notice in writing to the State Government and on such resignation being notified in the Official Gazette by that Government, the seat of such member shall become vacant. (3) A casual vacancy in the Board shall be filled by fresh election or nomination, as the case may be; and the term of office of a member elected or nominated to fill such vacancy shall be the remainder of the term of the member in whose place he is elected or nominated. (4) Members of the Board shall be eligible for re-election or re-nomination. (5) No act done or proceeding taken by the Board shall be questioned on the ground merely of the existence of any vacancy in, or defect in the constitution of, the Board.
