Title: Amendment of Section 2

In section 2 of the Vice-President's pension Act, 1997 (30 of 1997) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:-- (a) while holding the office of Vice-President either by the expiration of his term of office or by resignation of his office, (b) after ceasing to hold office as Vice-President either by the expiration of his term of office or by resignation of his office, shall be paid a family pension at the rate of fifty per cent, of pension as is admissible to a retiring Vice-President, for the remainder of her life.".

After section 3 of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted, namely:-- "3A. Free accommodation to spouse of Vice-President.-- Subject to any rules that may be made in this behalf, the spouse of a person who dies-- (a) while holding the office of Vice-President, or (b) after ceasing to hold office as Vice-President either by the expiration or his term of office or by resignation of his office, shall be entitled to the use of unfurnished residence without payment of licence fee, for the remainder of her life.".

MULTI-STATE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 2002 MULTI-STATE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 2002 39 of 2002 3rd July, 2002 An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to co-operative societies, with objects not confined to one State and serving the interests of members in more than one State, to facilitate the voluntary formation and democratic functioning of co-operatives as people's institutions based on self-help and mutual aid and to enable them to promote their economic and social betterment and to provide functional autonomy and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that.....

Multi-state Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 Chapter V

Title: Direction and Management of Multi-state Co-operative Societies

Section 41 - Board of directors (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and rules, there shall be a board of directors for every multi-State co-operative society consisting of such number of members as specified in sub-section (3). (2) The members of a multi-State co-operative society, by a resolution in a general meeting, shall elect directors who shall be members of board.
