Administrators-general Act, 1963 Section 27

Title: Manner in Which Petition to Be Verified by Administrator-general

State: Central

Year: 1963

No Administrator-General shall be required to verify, otherwise than by his signature, any petition presented by him under the provisions of this Act, and, if the facts stated in any such petition are not within his own personal knowledge, the petition may be subscribed and verified by any person competent to make verification.

Public Servants (Inquiries) Act, 1850 Section 5

Title: Charge by Accuser to Be Written and Verified. Penalty for False Accusation. Institution of Inquiry by Government

When the charge shall be brought by an accuser, the Government shall require the accusation to be reduced to writing, and verified by the oath or solemn affirmation of the accuser; and every person who shall wilfully and maliciously make any false accusation under this Act, upon such oath or affirmation, shall be liable to the penalties of perjury, but this enactment shall not be construed to prevent the Government from instituting any inquiry which it shall think fit without such accusation on oath or solemn affirmation as aforesaid.

Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 275

Title: Conclusiveness of Application for Probate or Administration if Properly Made and Verified

Year: 1925

The application for probate or letters of administration, if made and verified in the manner hereinafter provided, shall be conclusive for the purpose of authorising the grant of probate or administration; and no such grant shall be impeached by reason only that the testator or intestate had no fixed place of abode or no property within the district at the time of his death, unless by a proceeding to revoke the grant if obtained by a fraud upon the Court.
