.....be called the Payment of Salaries and allowances (Amendment) Act, 1968. (2). Sections 2, 3, 4 and 6, clause (1) and sub clause (i) of clause (2) of section 8 and section 11 shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1 st day of January 1968. 2.Amendment of section 4."In section 4 of the Payment of Salaries and Allowances Act, 1951 (XIV of 1951) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), for sub section (2), the following sub section shall be substituted, namely:- " (2) There shall be paid to the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly" (a). a salary of five hundred rupees per mensem and dearness allowances at such rates as officers of Government drawing a salary of five hundred rupees per mensem shall be entitled to from time to time; and (b). a consolidated sum of one hundred and fifty rupees per mensem towards expenditure on his residence while in the City of Trivandrum and for journeys within the City of Trivandrum and a radius of eight kilometers thereof.". 3.Insertion of new sections 5A and 5B."After section 5 of the principal Act, the following sections shall be inserted, namely:- "5A.
