THE TAMIL NADU CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 1983 THE TAMIL NADU CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 1983 (ACT NO.30 OF 1983) Brought into force with effect from 13-4-1988. No. II(2)/CO/1568(b)/88-G.o.Ms.No.115, dated 24-3-1988, Published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, Part II, Section 2, dated 1-4-1988. [Received the assent of the President on the 15th July 1983 first published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary on the 1st November, 1983] An Act to amend and consolidate the law relating to and to make better provision for, the organization, management and supervision of co-operative societies in the State of Tamil Nadu. Title: Terms and Conditions of Service of Employees in Private Educational Institutions

.....private educational institution. The names and qualifications of the teaching staff shall be displayed in a prominent place in the institution. Section 91 - Code of conduct (1) Every employee of a private educational institution shall be governed by the prescribed code of conduct and if he violates any provision thereof he shall be liable for the prescribed disciplinary action. (2) The managing committee may with prior approval of the State Government or any authority authorised in this behalf by the State Government also prescribe standards of conduct to be observed by employees, provided they are not inconsistent with those prescribed under sub-section (1). Title: Terms and Conditions of Registration

A certificate issued under section 11 shall be-- (a) in such form as may be prescribed; (b) valid for such period not exceeding five years as may be prescribed: Provided that a certificate may be issued for a period shorter than the prescribed period-- (i) if the person to whom it is issued so desires; or (ii) if the registering authority, for reasons to be communicated in writing to the applicant for the certificate, considers in any case that the certificate should be issued for a shorter period; (c) subject to such other terms and conditions, including in particular, the maintenance by the holder of the certificate of the prescribed records containing details of his financial transactions in regard to recruitment, persons recruited or assisted to emigrate by him, employers concerned, contracts and other arrangements entered into in connection with recruitment, as may be prescribed: Provided that a certificate may, contain, in addition to the prescribed terms and conditions, such other terms and conditions as the registering authority may, for securing the purposes of this Act, impose in any particular case.

.....after he attains the age of sixty-five years. (4B) For the removal of doubt, it is hereby declared that, notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or the terms of any contract of service or the term of office of any person who, on the date of commencement of the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) (Amendment) Act, 1989, continues to hold the office of the Vice-Chancellor of any University:- (a) after having completed three years or more in such office or attained the age of sixty -five years ; or (b) completes three years in such office after the date of such commencement, shall cease to hold such office on the date of such commencement or, as the case may be, on the date of completion of three years in such office, and accordingly such person shall be deemed to have vacated such office on the respective such date and such office shall be deemed to be vacant on such date.
