Title: Exhibition of Certain Timings and Tables of Fares at Stations

(1) Every railway administration shall cause to be pasted in a conspicuous and accessible place at every station in Hindi and English and also in the regional language commonly in use in the area where the station is situated,-- (i) a table of times of arrival and departure of trains which carry passengers and stop at that station, and (ii) list of fares from such station to such other stations as it may consider necessary. (2) At every station where tickets are issued to passengers, a copy of the time table in force shall be kept in the office of the station master.

ASSAM HIGHWAYS ACT, 1989 ASSAM HIGHWAYS ACT, 1989 [ Act No. 18 of 1995] [ 22nd August, 1995] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the regulation of road development and Road transport in State of Assam Whereas it is expedient to provide generally for the regulation of road development and road transport so as secure for the public such conditions as will ensure the maximum efficiency of all means of road along roads, in the State of Assam. It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth year of the Republic of India as follows, namely : Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Assam Highways Act, 1989. (1a) "ambulance or clinic van" means an omnibus or motor vehicle adapted to be used as such for carrying patients or other medical purpose; 2a2a. Clause (1b) ins. by W.B. Act 8 of 1999 w.e.f. 22.07.1999. (1b) "autorickshaw" means a motor vehicle having three wheels constructed or adopted and used to carry not more than three passengers for hire or reward excluding the driver. Explanation. For the purposes of this clause, a motor vehicle having three wheels constructed or adopted and used to carry more than three passengers but not more than twelve passengers for hire or reward excluding the driver shall not be treated as authorickshaw. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the lst October 1986'. SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS .
