Section 12 - Offences and punishment Whoever contravenes, or attempts to contravene, or abets the contravention of any of the provisions of this Act or rules made thereunder or any condition subject to which a permission thereunder may have been granted shall on conviction be punishable with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both. Section 13 - Cognizance of offences An offence under this Act shall be triable by a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class on the complaint of a Police Officer not below the rank of a Sub-Inspector made under the orders of a Collector. Section 14 - Power to make rules (1) The State Government may, by notification, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-- (a) the manner of obtaining permission under clause (b) of subsection (1) of Section 3; (b) the manner of applying for permission under sub-section (2) of Section 4; (c) the form of notice under sub-section (2) of.....

BOMBAY TENANCY AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS ACT, 1948 BOMBAY TENANCY AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS ACT, 1948 67 of 1948 An Act to amend the law relating to tenancies of agricultural lands and to make certain other provisions in regard to those lands. WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the law which governs the relations of landlords and tenants of agricultural lands; AND WHEREAS, on account of the neglect of a landholder or disputes betsveen a landholder and his tenants, the cultivation of his estate has seriously suffered, or for the purpose of improving the economic and social conditions of peasants or ensuring the full and efficient use of land for agriculture, it is expedient to assume management of estates held by landholders and to regulate and impose restrictions on the transfer of agricultural lands, dwelling houses, sites and lands appurtenant thereto belonging to or occupied by agriculturists, agricultural labourers and artisans in the Province of Bombay and to make provisions for certain other purpose hereinafter appearing; It is enacted as follows:- CHAPTER 1 Preliminary Section 1 Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the BOMBAY.....

CENTRAL SALES TAX ACT, 1956 CENTRAL SALES TAX ACT, 1956 74 of 1956 An Act to formulate principles for determining when a sale or purchase of goods takes place in the course of inter-State trade or commerce or outside a State or in the course of import into or export from India, to provide for the levy, collection and distribution of taxes on sales of goods in the course of inter-State trade or commerce and to declare certain goods to be of special importance of inter -State trade or commerce and specify the restrictions and conditions to which State laws imposing taxes on the sale or purchase of such goods of special importance shall be subject. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :" CHAPTER 01: PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Central Sales Tax Act, 1956. Foreign Marriage Act, 1969 Complete Act

.....being entered in the Marriage Certificate Book by the Marriage Officer, the certificate shall be deemed to be conclusive evidence of the fact that a marriage under this Act has been solemnized, and that all formalities respecting the residence of the party concerned previous to the marriage and the signatures of witnesses have been complied with. SECTION 15: VALIDITY OF FOREIGN MARRIAGES IN INDIA Subject to the other provisions contained in this Act a marriage solemnized in the manner provided in this Act shall be good and valid in law. SECTION 16: NEW NOTICE WHEN MARRIAGE NOT SOLEMNIZED WITHIN SIX MONTHS - Whenever a marriage is not solemnized within six months from the date on which notice thereof has been given to the Marriage Officer as required under section 5-or where the record of a case has been transmitted to the Central Government under section 10-, or where an appeal has been preferred to the Central Government under section 11-, within three months from the date of decision of the Central Government in such case or appeal, as the case may be, the notice and all other proceedings arising therefrom shall be deemed to have lapsed, and no Marriage Officer.....
