THE PUNJAB HEALTH SYSTEMS CORPORATION ACT, 1996 THE PUNJAB HEALTH SYSTEMS CORPORATION ACT, 1996 [Act No. 6 of 1996] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the constitution of a Corporation for establishing, expanding, improving and administering medical care in the State of Punjab. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Forty- seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Health Systems Corporation Act, 1996. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab. (3) It shall come into force at once. .....Be it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1996. (2) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, Sections 2-to58-andSection 88-shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 1996.
