(2) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any judgment, order, decree or decision of a court of law, Act, rule, regulation or executive instructions, no candidate, from the date of commencement of this Act, shall, on the basis of his merit or placement in a Common/Combined Examination, have right to seek appointment to Haryana Civil Services (Executive Branch) and Allied Services or Other Services beyond the number of advertised posts. (3) The State Government shall not be competent to offer appointment to a candidate, who is placed in the waiting list or who claims himself to be in the waiting list on the basis of Common/Combined Examination, for a post for which his name was not recommended by the Commission: Provided that if a candidate has been appointed or offered appointment over and above advertised posts for any reason, the services of such candidate shall be dispensed with. However, he shall be entitled to be appointed to the service/post, if any, for which his name was originally recommended by the Commission: Provided further that no recovery of higher salary, emoluments or any other financial benefits drawn by.....

.....Lok Adalat under sub-section (1), it-- (a) shall direct each party to the application to file before it a written statement, stating therein the facts and nature of dispute under the application, points or issues in such dispute and grounds relied in support of, or in opposition to, such points or issues, as the case may be, and such party may supplement such statement with any document and other evidence which such party deems appropriate in proof of such facts and grounds and shall send a copy of such statement together with a copy of such document and other evidence, if any, to each of the parties to the application; (b) may require any party to the application to file additional statement before it at any stage of the conciliation proceedings; (c) shall communicate any document or statement received by it from any party to the application to the other party, to enable such other party to present reply thereto. (4) When statement, additional statement and reply, if any, have been filed under sub-section (3), to the satisfaction of the Permanent Lok Adalat, it shall conduct conciliation proceedings between the parties to the application in such manner as it thinks.....

THE ORISSA SERVICE OF ENGINEERS (VALIDATION OF APPOINTMENT) ACT, 2002 THE ORISSA SERVICE OF ENGINEERS (VALIDATION OF APPOINTMENT) ACT, 2002 Orissa Act 9 of 2003 [Received the assent of the Governor on the 5th February 2003, first published in an extraordinary issue of the Orissa Gazette, dated the 15th, February, 2003 (No. 218)] An act to validate the ad hoc appointment of certain assistant engineers made to the Orissa Service of Engineers. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title. This Act may be called the Orissa Service of Engineers (Validation of Appointment) Act, 2002. 2. Definitions. In this Act unless the context otherwise requires- (a) "Government" means Government of Orissa; (b) "Recruitment .Rules" means the Orissa Service of Engineers Rules, 1941; (c) "Service" means the Orissa Service of Engineers; and (d) "Year" means the Calendar Year. 3. Validation. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Recruitment Rules, seven hundred ninety-nine Assistant Engineers belonging to the discipline of Civil, fifty-seven Assistant Engineers.....

The Sikkim Essential Services Maintenance (Amendment) Act, 2002 Complete Act

.....It shall come into force at once. Amendment of Section 2. 2. In the Sikkim Essential Maintenance Act, 2000, (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), in section 2, after clause (a), the following clause shall be inserted, namely :- "(aa) ˜ employment' includes employment of any nature whether paid or unpaid" Insertion of new Section 2A. 3. In the said Act, after section 2, the following new section shall be inserted, namely :- ˜2A. Employment to which Act applies :- this Act shall apply :- (i) to all employment under the Government; (ii) to any other employment or class of employment which the Government, being of the opinion that such employment or class of employment is essential for securing the public safety, the maintenance of public order, health or sanitation, or for maintaining supplies or services necessary for the life of the community, may, be notification, declare".
