THE KERALA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS) ACT, 1963 [Act No. 16 of 1964] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the exercise of certain additional functions by the Kerala Public Service Commission Whereas it is expedient to provide for the exercise of certain additional functions by the Kerala Public Service Commission in respect of appointments of officers and servants of the Kerala State Electricity Board and their conditions of service; Be it enacted in the Fourteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions) Act, 1963. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint. (Date of Commencement: 1-10-1966 Notification GO (MS) 183/66/PW dated 5-8-1966) Section 2 - Definitions In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Electricity Board" means the Kerala State Electricity Board constituted under Section 5 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948; (b) "Public Service.....

Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 Section 50

Title: Consolidated Rates for Comibination of Services

.....or services with any user or permission to use any property belonging to or in the possession or occupation of the Board, as specified in section 49 or the fees to be charged for pilotage, hauling, mooring, re-mooring, hooking, measuring and other services rendered to vessles as specified in section 49A or the port dues to be fixed on vessles entering the port and for the duration of such dues as specified in section 49B. ________________________ 1. Title: Performance of Services by Board or Other Person

Title: Fees for Pilotage and Certain Other Services

1["49A. Fees for pilotage and certain other services. (1) Within any port, fees may be charged for pilotage, hauling, mooring, re-mooring, hooking, measuring and other services rendered to vessles, at such rates as the Authority may fix. (2) The fees now chargeable for such services shall continue to be chargeable unless and until they are altered in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1). (3) the Central Government may, in special cases, remit the whole or any portion of the fees chargeable under sub-section (1) or sub-section (2). ________________________ 1. Forest Act, 1963 Section 108

Title: Failure to Perform Service for Which a Share in Produce of Government Forest is Enjoyed

State: Karnataka

Year: 1963

(1) If any person is entitled to a share in the produce of any forest which is the property of the State Government or over which the State Government has proprietary rights or to any part of the forest produce of which the State Government is entitled, upon the conditions of duly performing any service connected with such forest, such share shall be liable to confiscation in the event of the fact being established to the satisfaction of the State Government that such service is no longer so performed: Provided that no such share shall be confiscated until the person entitled thereto, and the evidence, if any, which he may produce in proof of the due performance of such service, have been heard by an officer duly appointed in that behalf by the State Government. (2) Any person aggrieved by the confiscation of his share under sub-section (1) may within sixty days from the date of receipt of the order of the State Government, appeal to the High Court.

Textiles Committee Act, 1963 Section 10

Title: Transfer of Service of Existing Employees to the Committee

Subject to the provisions of this Act, every person employed by the Cotton Textiles Fund Committee constituted under section 5 of the Cotton Textiles Fund Ordinance, 1944, immediately before the date of establishment of the Committee shall on and from such date, become an employee of the Committee with such designation as the Committee may determine and shall hold his office or service therein by the same tenure, at the same remuneration and upon the same terms and conditions as he would have held on such date if the Committee had not been established and shall continue to do so unless and until his employment in the committee is terminated or until such tenure, remuneration and terms and conditions are duly altered by the Committee : Provided that the tenure, remuneration and terms and conditions of service of any such person shall not be altered to his disadvantage without the previous approval of the Central Government.

Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 Section 47B

Title: Term of Office, Conditions of Service, Etc., of Chairperson and Other Members

(1) The Chairperson or a Member shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office or until he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier. (2) The salaries and allowances payable to and other conditions of service of the Chairperson and the other Members shall be such as may be prescribed by the Central Government (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (7), the Chairperson or a Member may-- (a) relinquish his office by giving in writing to the Central Government a notice of not less than three months; or (b) be removed from his office in accordance with the provisions of section 47D. (4) If a casual vacancy occurs in the office of the Chairperson or any Member, whether by reason of his death, resignation or inability to discharge his functions owing to illness or other incapacity, such vacancy shall be filled up by the Central Government by making a fresh appointment and the Chairperson or the Member so appointed shall hold office for the remainder of the term of office of the person in whose place he is so appointed.
