Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966 Section 83

Title: Provisions as to Continuance of Officers in the Same Posts

State: Central

Year: 1966

Every person who immediately before the appointed day is holding or discharging the duties of any post or office in connection with the affairs of the existing State of Punjab in any area which on that day falls within any of the successor States shall continue to hold the same post or office in that successor State and shall be deemed, on and from that day, to have been duly appointed to the post or office by the Government of, or other appropriate authority in that successor State : Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent a competent authority on or after the appointed day from passing in relation to such person any order affecting his continuance in such post or office.

Title: Production of Account Books, Etc., by Market Functionaries

State: Karnataka

(1) If any market functionary fails to send any report or return in accordance with the provisions of section 81, or if the committee considers it necessary to examine the account books relating to the business of any market functionary to satisfy itself about the correctness of any report or return submitted by him or for any other sufficient reason, the market committee may direct such functionary to produce before it or before any officer specified by it in this behalf, the account books and other relevant books and documents, for inspection, and to explain the contents thereof. (2) If any market functionary fails, without sufficient cause to comply with the direction of the market committee under sub-section (1), the market committee may, without prejudice to any other action against such functionary, after such inquiry as may be prescribed, direct him to pay such amount as may be prescribed by the bye-laws as penalty to the committee.

Asian Development Bank Act 1966 Section 5

Title: Conferment of Status and Certain Immunities, Exemptions and Privileges on Bank and Conferment of Certain Immunities, Exemptions and Privileges on Its Officers and Employees

(1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any other law, the provisions of the Agreement set out in the Schedule shall have the force of law in India: Provided that nothing in Article 56 of the Agreement shall be construed as-- (a) entitling the Bank to import into India goods free of any duty of customs without any restriction on their subsequent sale therein; or (b) conferring on the Bank any exemption from duties or taxes which from part of the price of goods sold; or (c) conferring on the Bank any exemption from duties or taxes which are in fact no more than charges for services rendered. (2) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, amend the Schedule in conformity with any amendments, duly made and adopted, of the provisions of the Agreement set out therein.

Asian Development Bank Act 1966 Section 3

Title: Payments to Bank

State: Central

Year: 1966

(1) There shall be paid out of the Consolidated Fund of India, after due appropriation made by Parliament by law in this behalf, all such sums as may, from time to time, be required for the purpose of paying,-- (a) the subscriptions payable by the Central Government to the Bank under paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 of Article 5 of the Agreement; (b) any commission, fees or other charges payable by the Central Government to the Bank under Article 16 of the Agreement; (c) any sums payable by the Central Government to the Bank under paragraph 1 of Article 25 of the Agreement. (2) The Central Government may, if it thinks fit so to do, create and issue to the Bank, in such form as it thinks fit, any such non-interest bearing and non-negotiable notes or other obligations as are provided for by paragraph 3 of Article 6 of the Agreement.
