Patents Act, 1970 (39 of 1970) Section 81

Title: Disposal by Controller of Applications for Extension of Time

State: Central

Year: 1970

Where under the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder the Controller may extend the time for doing any act, nothing in this Act shall be deemed to require him to give notice to or hear the party interested in opposing the extension, nor shall any appeal lie from any order of the Controller granting such extension.

Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 Section 81

Title: Exemption from Arrest and Personal Appearance

In a suit instituted against a public officer in respect of any act purporting to be done by him in his official capacity-- (a) the defendant shall not be liable to arrest nor his property to attachment otherwise than in execution of a decree, and (b) where the Court is satisfied that the defendant cannot absent himself from his duty without detriment to the public service, it shall exempt him from appearing in person.
