.....in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, (a) all offences under this Act shall be triable only by the Designated Court specified under subsection (1) of section 5B. (b) where a person accused of or suspected of the commission of an offence under this Act is forwarded to a Magistrate under sub-section (2) or sub-section (2 A) of section 167 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, such Magistrate may authorise the detention of such person in such custody as he thinks fit for a period not exceeding fifteen days in the whole where such Magistrate is a Judicial Magistrate and seven days in the whole where such Magistrate is an Executive Magistrate: Provided that where such Magistrate considers, (i) when such person is forwarded to him as aforesaid; or (ii) upon or at any time before the expiry of the period of detention authorised by him, that the detention of such person is unnecessary, he shall order such person to be forwarded to the Designated Court having jurisdiction; (c) the Designated Court may exercise, in relation to the person forwarded to it under clause (b), the same power which a Magistrate having jurisdiction to try a case may exercise under.....

Title: Cancellation of Assesment in Certain Cases

1 [5C. Cancellation of assesment in certaincases (1) Where an assessee within one month from the service of a notice of demand makes an application and satisfies the assessing authority that he was prevented by sufficient cause from appearing as required under section 5, or that he did not receive the notice issued under that section or that he had not a reasonable opportunity of being heard, the assessing authority shall cancel the assessment and proceed to make a fresh assessment in accordance with the provisions of section 5: Provided that no application under this sub-section shall be entertained by the assessing authority if tax admitted in the return is not paid. (2) Nothing contained in sub-section (1) shall apply to an assessment which has been made the subject matter of an appeal under section 13. (3) No appeal shall lie under section 13 against an order passed under this section. (4) Every order passed under this section shall subject to the provisons of the sections 14, 15-A, 16 and 17, be final.] _______________________________ 1. (3) If the owner or the builder or the occupier fails to show cause to the satisfaction of the Board, it may confirm the order, with such modifications as it may think fit, and such order shall then be binding on the owner, the builder and the occupier and the Board may take any measure or do anything which may, in its opinion be necessary, for giving due effect to the order and expenses incurred for the purpose shall be recovered from the owner, the builder and the occupier, as arrears of land revenue. The Board may seize the materials and tools used for the construction or reconstruction of the building and may sell them and apply the sale proceeds towards the expenses incurred. (4) If the work of construction or reconstruction of any building is commenced in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 5B and the Board is of the opinion that immediate action should be taken, then, notwithstanding anything contained in this Chapter a notice to be given under sub-section (2) shall not be of less duration than twenty four hours and shall be deemed to be duly served if it is affixed in some.....

1[5C. Functions of the National Board (1) It shall be the duty of the National Board to promote the conservation and development of wild life and forests by such measures as it thinks fit. (2) Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing provision, the measures referred to therein may provide for- (a) framing policies and advising the Central Government and the State Governments on the ways and means of promoting wild life conservation and effectively controlling poaching and illegal trade of wild life and its products; (b) making recommendations on the setting up of and management of national parks, sanctuaries and other protected areas and on matters relating to restriction of activities in those areas; (c) carrying out or causing to be carried out impact assessment of various projects and activities on wild life or its habitat; (d) reviewing from time to time, the progress in the field of wild life conservation in the country and suggesting measures for improvement thereto; and (e) preparing and publishing a status report at least once in two years on wild life in the country.] ________________________ 1. Title: Power to Seal Unauthorised Constructions

1[5c. Power to seal unauthorised consstructions (1) It shall be lawful for the estate officer, at any time, before or after making an order of demolition under section 5B, to make an order directing the sealing of such erection or work or of the public premises in which such erection or work has been completed in such manner as may be prescribed, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act, or for preventing any dispute as to the nature and extent of such erection or work. (2) Where any erection or work or any premises in which any erection or work is being carried on has, or have been sealed, the estate officer may, for the purpose of demolishing such erection or work in accordance with the provisions of this Act, order such seal to be removed. (3) No person shall remove such seal except-- (a) under an order made by the estate officer under sub-section (2); or (b) under an order of the appellate officer made in an appeal under this Act.] _________________________ 1. Appeals (1) Any person applying for a certificate in respect of a film who is aggrieved by any order of the Board-- (a) refusing to grant a certificate; or (b) granting only an "A" certificate; or (c) granting only a "S" certificate; or (d) granting only a "UA" certificate; or (e) directing the applicant to carry out any excisions or modifications, may, within thirty days from the date of such order, prefer an appeal to the Tribunal: Provided that the Tribunal may, if it is satisfied that the appellant was prevented by sufficient cause from filing the appeal within the aforesaid period of thirty days, allow such appeal to be admitted within a further period of thirty days. (1) A candidate shall not be deemed to be duly nominated for election unless he deposits or causes to be deposited a sum of1[fifteen thousand rupees] Provided, that where a candiate has been nominated by more than one nomination paper for the same election, not more than one deposit shall be required or him under this sub-section. (2) The sum required to be deposited under sub-section (1) shall not be deemed to have been deposited under that sub-section unless at the time of presentation of the nomination paper under sub-section (1) of section 5B, the candidate has either deposited or caused to be deposited that sum with the Returning Officer in cash or enclosed with the nomination paper a receipt showing that the said sum has been deposited by him or on his behalf in the Reserve Bank of India or in a Government Treasury. _______________________ 1.
