Bombay Ferries and Inland Vessels Act, 1868, (Maharashtra) Section 5C

Title: Power to Take Possession of Boats, Etc. on Surrender of Lease

When the lease of the tolls of any ferry is surrendered under section 5B, the Executive Engineer of the division, or, as the case may be, the Collector of the district, within whose jurisdiction such ferry is situate, may take possession of all boats and their equipment and, all other material and appliances, used by the lessee for the purposes of such ferry, and use the same (paying such compensation for the use thereof as the Commissioner may in each case direct) until the said Executive Engineer or Collector can conveniently procure proper substitutes therefor.

Dock Workers (Regulation of Employment) Act, 1948 Section 5C

Title: Accounts and Audit

(1) Every Board shall maintain proper accounts and other relevant records and prepare an annual statement of accounts, including a balance-sheet in such form as may be prescribed by rules made under this Act. (2) The accounts of the Board shall be audited annually by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India or by such other auditors qualified to act as auditors of companies under the law for the time being in force relating to companies, as the Government may appoint. (3) The auditors shall, at all reasonable limes, have access to the books of accounts and other documents of the Board and may, for the purposes of the audit, call for such explanation and information as they may require or examine any member or officer of the Board. (4) The auditors shall forward to the Government a copy of their report together with an audited copy of the accounts of the Board. (5) The cost of the audit as determined by the Government shall be paid GUI of the funds of the Board.]

Appeals (1) Any person applying for a certificate in respect of a film who is aggrieved by any order of the Board-- (a) refusing to grant a certificate; or (b) granting only an "A" certificate; or (c) granting only a "S" certificate; or (d) granting only a "UA" certificate; or (e) directing the applicant to carry out any excisions or modifications, may, within thirty days from the date of such order, prefer an appeal to the Tribunal: Provided that the Tribunal may, if it is satisfied that the appellant was prevented by sufficient cause from filing the appeal within the aforesaid period of thirty days, allow such appeal to be admitted within a further period of thirty days. (1) A candidate shall not be deemed to be duly nominated for election unless he deposits or causes to be deposited a sum of1[fifteen thousand rupees] Provided, that where a candiate has been nominated by more than one nomination paper for the same election, not more than one deposit shall be required or him under this sub-section. (2) The sum required to be deposited under sub-section (1) shall not be deemed to have been deposited under that sub-section unless at the time of presentation of the nomination paper under sub-section (1) of section 5B, the candidate has either deposited or caused to be deposited that sum with the Returning Officer in cash or enclosed with the nomination paper a receipt showing that the said sum has been deposited by him or on his behalf in the Reserve Bank of India or in a Government Treasury. _______________________ 1. Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 Section 5C

Title: Power to Seal Unauthorised Constructions

1[5c. Power to seal unauthorised consstructions (1) It shall be lawful for the estate officer, at any time, before or after making an order of demolition under section 5B, to make an order directing the sealing of such erection or work or of the public premises in which such erection or work has been completed in such manner as may be prescribed, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act, or for preventing any dispute as to the nature and extent of such erection or work. (2) Where any erection or work or any premises in which any erection or work is being carried on has, or have been sealed, the estate officer may, for the purpose of demolishing such erection or work in accordance with the provisions of this Act, order such seal to be removed. (3) No person shall remove such seal except-- (a) under an order made by the estate officer under sub-section (2); or (b) under an order of the appellate officer made in an appeal under this Act.] _________________________ 1.
