Title: Punishment for Personation of Shareholder

If any person deceitfully personates as an owner of any security or interest in a company, or of any share warrant or coupon issued in pursuance of this Act, and thereby obtains or attempts to obtain any such security or interest or any such share warrant or coupon, or receives or attempts to receive any money due to any such owner, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one year but which may extend to three years and with fine which shall not be less than one lakh rupees but which may extend to five lakh rupees.

Wakf (Amendment) Act, 2013, (Central) Section 57

Title: Amendment of Section 109

In section 109 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2),-- (a) for clause (i), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely:-- "(i) the qualifications required to be fulfilled by a person to be appointed as a mutawalli under clause (i) of section 3; (ia) other particulars which the report of the Survey Commissioner may contain under clause (f) of sub-section (3) of section 4;"; (b) in clause (vi), for the word "under", the words, brackets and figure "under sub-section (1) of" shall be substituted; (c) after clause (vi), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-- "(via) the period within which the mutawalli or any other person may produce documents related to waqf properties under sub-section (2) of section 31; (vib) the conditions under which an agency of the Government or any other organisation may supply copies of records, registers and other documents under sub-section (3) of section 31;"; (d) clause (xi) shall be omitted; (e) after clause (xxii), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-- "(xxiia) the terms and conditions of appointment including the salaries and allowances payable to the Chairman and other members other than persons.....

If, for any reason other than temporary absence, any vacancy occurs in the office of the Presiding Officer of an Authority then the appropriate Government shall appoint another person in accordance with the provisions of this Act to fill the vacancy and the proceedings may be continued before the Authority from the stage at which the vacancy is filled.

Title: Substitution of New Section for Section Usa

For section MSA of the Income-tax Act, the following section shall be substituted with effect from the 1st day of April, 2010, namely:-- '145A. Method of accounting in certain cases.-- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 145,-- (a) the valuation of purchase and sale of goods and inventory for the purposes of determining the income chargeable under the head "Profits and gains of business or profession" shall be-- (i) in accordance with the method of accounting regularly employed by the assessee; and (ii) further adjusted to include the amount of any tax, duty, cess or fee (by whatever name called) actually paid or incurred by the assessee to bring the goods to the place of its location and condition as on the date of valuation. Explanation.--For the purposes of this section, any tax, duty, cess or fee (by whatever name called) under any law for the time being in force, shall include all such payment notwithstanding any right arising as a consequence to such payment. (b) interest received by an assessee on compensation or on enhanced compensation, as the case may be, shall be deemed to be the income of the year in which it is received.'. .....

Legal Metrology Act, 2009 Section 57

Title: Repeal of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1976 and Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1985

(1) The Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1976(60 of 1976) and the Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1985(54 of 1985), is hereby repealed. (2) Without prejudice to the provisions contained in the General Clauses Act, 1897(10 of 1897), with respect to repeals, any notification, rule or order made under the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1976(60 of 1976) and the Standards of Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1985(54 of 1985), shall, if in force, at the commencement of this Act, continue to be in force and have effect as if it was made under the corresponding provision of this Act. (3) Notwithstanding such repeal, any appointment, notification, rule, order, registration, licence, certificate, notice, decision, approval, authorisation or consent made, issued or given under such law shall, if in force at the commencement of this Act, continue to be in force and have effect as if it were made, issued or given under the corresponding provisions of this Act.
