Title: Rectification of Register by Copyright Board

The Copyright Board, on application of the Registrar of Copyrights or of any person aggrieved, shall order the rectification of the Registers of Copyrights by-- (a) the making of any entry wrongly omitted to the register, or (b) the expunging of any entry wrongly made in, or remaining on, the register, or (c) the correction of any error or defect in the register.

Every person subject to naval law who endeavours to seduce any other person subject to naval law to desert shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or such other punishment as is hereinafter mentioned.

Title: Allowance for Misused Stamps

(a) When any person has inadvertently used for an instrument chargeable with duty, a stamp of a description other than that prescribed for such instrument by the rules made under this Act, or a stamp of greater value than was necessary or has inadvertently used any stamp for an instrument not chargeable with any duty; or (b) When any stamp used for an instrument has been inadvertently rendered useless under Section 15, owing to such instrument having been written in contravention of the provisions of Section 13; the1[Deputy Commissioner] may, on application made within2[one year] after the date of the instrument, or, if it is not dated, within2[one year] after the execution thereof by the person by whom it was first or alone executed, and upon the instrument, if chargeable with duty, being re-stamped with the proper duty, cancel and allow as spoiled the stamp so misused or rendered useless. _____________________________ 1. If any person makes a statement in a verification mentioned in section 18 or sub-section (3) of section 321[or sub-section (3) of section 34] or in any application under section 67 which is false and which he either knows or believes to be false or does not believe to be true, he shall be deemed to have committed the offence described in section 177 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Central Act XLV of 1860). ________________________ 1. Any tax due under this Act shall be leviable as an arrear of land revenue. The motor vehicle in respect of which the tax is due or its accessories may be distrained or sold, whether or not such vehicle or accessories are in the possession or control of the person liable to pay the tax.

Title: Short Title, Extent and Commencement

Title: Transport Vehicle Permit to Be Ineffective if Tax Not Paid
State: Karnataka
Year: 1957
Notwithstanding the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (Central Act IV of 1939), if the tax or the instalment due in respect of a transport vehicle is not paid within the prescribed period the validity of the permit for the vehicle shall become ineffective from the date of expiry of the said period until such time as the tax is actually paid.
