Title: Notice of Options Available to the Assured on the Lapsing of a Policy

An insurer shall,1[before the expiry of three months from the date on which the premiums in respect of a policy of life insurance were payable but not paid,] give notice to the policy-holder informing hi m of the options available to hi m2[unless these are set forth in the policy.] ____________________________ 1. Title: Limitation on Employment of Managing Agents and on the Remuneration Payable to Them

.....in the articles of the insurer, if a company, or in any agreement entered into by the insurer, such managing agent shall cease to hold office on the expiry of three years from the commencement of this Act and no compensation shall be payable to him by the insurer by reason only of the premature termination of his employment as managing agent. (3) After the commencement of this Act, notwithstanding anything contained in the Indian Companies Act, 1913 (7 of 1913), and notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any agreement entered into by an insurer or in the articles of association of an insurer being a company, no insurer shall pay to a managing agent and no managing agent shall accept from an insurer as remuneration for his services as managing agent more than two thousand rupees per month in all, including salary and commission and other remuneration payable to and receivable by him, for his services as managing agent.

Title: Arrangement Instead of Money Compensation

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Tribunal may, with the sanction of the Provincial Government, instead of awarding money compensation in respect of any land, make any arrangement with the person having interest in such land either by grant of another land in exchange or in such other way as may be equitable.

Title: Declaration That Land is Needed for Restoration

(1) The Provincial Government, if it is satisfied that any of the forfeited lands is needed for a public purpose and should, therefore, in public interest be acquired and restored to the original holder, may make a declaration that the said land is needed for such purpose. (2) The declaration shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall state all the material particulars in regard to the said land. (3) Such declaration shall be conclusive evidence that the said land is needed for such purpose.

Title: Risk Not to Be Deemed to Have Been Assumed Without Full Knowledge

In any such suit for damages, the workman shall not be deemed to have undertaken any risk attaching to the employment unless the employer proves that the risk was fully explained to and understood by the workman and the workman voluntarily undertook the same.
