Title: Powers of Magistrate of District as to Foreign Vagrants

The Magistrate of the district may, if he considers that any band of foreign vagrants is likely to occasion a breach of the peace or to commit any offence under the Indian Penal Code, 45 of 1860.prohibit such band to from entering his district; or, if they are already in his district, may require them within a given time to leave it.

Delhi University Act, 1922 Section 45

Title: Conditions of Service of Officers and Teachers

1[45. Conditions of service of officers and teachers (1) Every salaried officer and teacher of the University shall be appointed under a written contract, which shall be lodged with the University and copy thereof shall be furnished to the officer or teacher concerned. (2) Any dispute arising out of a contract between the University and any of its officers or teachers shall at the request of the officer or teacher concerned or at the instance of the University, be referred to a Tribunal of Arbitration consisting of one member appointed by the Executive Council, one member nominated by the officer or teacher concerned and an umpire appointed by the Visitor, and the decision of the Tribunal shall be final.] _________________________ 1. Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 Section 45

Title: Responsibility for Payment of Wages and Compensation

(1) An employer shall be responsible for payment of wages to each building worker employed by him and such wages shall be paid on or before such date as may be prescribed. (2) In case the contractor fails to make payment of compensation in respect of a building worker employed by him, where he is liable to make such payment when due, or makes short payment thereof, then, in the case of death or disablement of the building worker, the employer shall be liable to make payment of that compensation in full or the unpaid balance due in accordance with the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923 (8 of 1923), and recover the amount so paid from the contractor either by deduction from any amount payable to the contractor under any contract or as a debt payable by the contractor.

Coast Guard Act, 1978 Section 45

Title: Attempt

Any person subject to this Act who attempts to commit any of the offences specified in sections 15 to 44 (both, inclusive) and in such attempt does any act towards the commission of the offence shall, on conviction by a Coast Guard Court, where no express provision is made by this Act for the punishment of such attempt, be liable,-- (a) if the offence attempted to be committed is punishable with death, to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to fourteen years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned; and (b) if the offence attempted to be committed is punishable with imprisonment, to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to onehalf of the longest term provided for that offence or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.

(2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:- (a) the manner of service of notice under this Act; (b) the procedure to be followed by courts for hearing suits, applications or other legal proceedings and in executing decrees or order is passed by such courts; (c) the manner in which courts may hold summary inquiry under this Act; (d) levy of court-fees and other fees for suits, applications and other proceedings under this Act; (e) the manner in which a controller may hold enquiry under Chapter IV; (f) any other matter which has to be, or may be, prescribed.

State Bank of India Subsidiary Banks Act, 1959 Section 45

Title: Power to Issue Direct in as Farremoving Difficulties

For the purpose of facilitating the full and effective transfer of the undertaking of an existing bank in accordance with the provisions of this Act or in order to remove any difficulty which in the opinion of the Central Government has arisen or is likely to arise in connection with such transfer, the Central Government may, in consultation with the Reserve Bank, give such directions to any existing bank or the State Bank us appear to it to be necessary and the said bank or the State Bank, as the case may be, shall comply with such directions.
