Title: Abetment of False Return, Etc.

If a person abets or induces in any manner another person to make and deliver an account, statement or declaration relating to any net wealth chargeable to tax which is false and which he either knows to be false or does not believe to be true or to commit an offence under sub-section (1) of section 35A, he shall be punishable, (i) in a case where the amount of tax, penalty or interest, which would have been evaded, if the declaration, account or statement had been accepted as true, or which is wilfully attempted to be evaded, exceeds one hundred thousand rupees, with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than six months but which may extend to seven years and with fine; (ii) in any other case, with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than three months but which may extend to three years and with fine.]

In section 7 of the said Act, the first paragraph of sub-section (3) shall be re-numbered as clause (a) thereof, and after clause (a) as so renumbered, but before the first proviso, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:--- (b) Before the commencement date, if any such occupancy has already, without previous sanction or no objection certificate from the Collector or any other authority, been transferred by the occupant, for agricultural purpose, such transfer may be regularised on the production of registered instruments such as sale deed, gift deed, etc., as a proof thereof, for such transfer. After such regularisation, the occupancy of such land shall be held by such transferee occupant on new and impartiable tenure (Occupant Class II), in accordance with the provisions of the Code:".

(1) On the appointed day, the Unit Trust of India Act, 1963 shall stand repealed and the Board of trustees referred to in section 10 of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as the repealed Act) shall stand dissolved. (2) On the dissolution of the said Board, the person appointed as the Chairman of the Board and every other person appointed as the trustee and executive trustee and holding office as such immediately before such date shall vacate their respective offices. (3) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken or purported to have been done or taken including any rule, regulation, notification, scheme, inspection order or notice made or issued or any appointment, confirmation or declaration made or any permission, authorisation or exemption granted or any document or instrument executed or any direction given under the Act hereby repealed shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act. (4) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Unit Trust of India Act, 1963 (52 of 1963), the Administrator shall, so far as may be, comply with the provisions.....
