In section 320 of the principal Act, in the Table under sub-section (2),-- (a) the words "Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means" in column 1 and the entries relating thereto in columns 2 and 3 shall be omitted; (b) in column 3, for the word "Ditto", against the entry relating to section 325, the words "The person to whom the hurt is caused" shall be substituted; (c) in column 1, for the words "two hundred and fifty rupees", wherever they occur, the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.

Title: Provisions Supplementary to Sections 318, 319 And320

(1) Wherein proceedings for the recovery of any payment as having, by virtue of sub-section (2) of section 319 or sub-section (4) of section 320, been received by any person in trust, it is shown that - (a) the payment was made in pursuance of any arrangement entered into as part of the agreement for the transfer in question, or within one year before, or within two years after, that agreement or the offer leading thereto; and (b) the company or any person to whom the transfer was made was privy to that arrangement, the payment shall be deemed, except insofar as the contrary is shown, to be one to which that sub-section applies. (2) If in connection with any such transfer as is mentioned in section 319 or in section 320,- (a) the price to be paid, to a director of the company whose office is to be abolished or who is to retire from office, for any shares in the company held by him is in excess of the price which could at the time have been obtained by other holders of the like shares; or (b) any valuable consideration is given to any such director; the excess or the money value of the consideration, as the case may be, shall for the purposes of that section, be.....

Title: Liability of Occupier to Pay in Default of Owner

.....recoverable from the owner under section 320: Provided that if the occupier, on application made to him by the Board or the civil area committee or the Chief Executive Officer at whose instance such notice has been issued, refuses to truly disclose the amount of his rent or the name or address of the person to whom it is payable, the Chief Executive Officer may recover from the occupier the whole amount recoverable under section 320 in the same manner as money is recoverable by the Board under section 324. (2) Any amount recovered from an occupier instead of from an owner under subsection (1) shall, in the absence of any contract between the owner and the occupier to the contrary, be deemed to have been paid to the owner.

.....The remainder of this Act shall, subject to any express provision to the contrary, come into force on such date2as His Majesty in Council may appoint and the said date is the date referred to in this Act as the commencement of Part III of this Act. Prevention of Food Adulteration Act,1954 Section 16

Cantonments Act, 2006 Section 321

Title: Occupier Not to Obstruct Owner when Complying with Notice

If the owner of any property in respect of which a notice as is referred to in section 320 has been given is prevented by the occupier from complying with such notice, the Board or civil area committee or the Chief Executive Officer at whose instance such notice has been given, may, by order, require the said occupier to permit the owner within eight days from the date of service of such notice to take all such actions as may be necessary to comply with the said notice and such owner shall, for the period during which he is prevented as aforesaid, be exempt from any fine or penalty to which he might otherwise have become liable by reason of non-compliance with such notice.

Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 Section 320

Title: Application of Provisions to Alterations and Additions

(1) The provisions of this Chapter and of any rules or bye-laws made under this Act relating to construction and re-construction of the buildings or huts shall also be applicable to any alteration thereof or addition thereto: Provided that works of necessary repair which do not affect the position or dimensions of a building or hut or any room in a building therein shall not be deemed an alteration or addition for the purpose of this section. (2) If any question arises as to whether any addition or alteration is a necessary repair not affecting the position or dimensions of a building or hut or room in a building therein, such question shall be referred to the standing committee, whose decision shall be final.

Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 Section 320

Title: Powers to Transfer Officers

State: Karnataka

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Government shall have power to transfer any officer or servant of a municipal council to the service of any other municipal council or of any other local authority or of any Government Department. (2) The Government shall have power to issue such general or special directions as it thinks necessary for the purpose of giving due effect to transfers made under sub-section (1) and such directions shall be complied with by the municipal council and any municipal authority concerned.
