Unit Trust of India (Transfer of Undertaking and Repeal) Act,2002 Section 25

Title: Repeal and Saving

Year: 2002

(1) The Unit Trust of India (Transfer of Undertaking and Repeal) Ordinance, 2002 (Ordaer 5 of 2002) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of the Unit Trust of India (Transfer of Undertaking and Repeal) Ordinance, 2002 (Order 5 of 2002) anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.

Title: Appropriate Governments and Local Authorities to Take Certain Steps for the Prevention of Occurrence Ofdisabilities

State: Central

Year: 1995

Within the limits of their economic capacity and development, the appropriate Governments and the local authorities, with a view to preventing the occurrence of disabilities, shall-- (a) undertake or cause to be undertaken surveys, investigations and research concerning the cause of occurrence of disabilities; (b) promote various methods of preventing disabilities; (c) screen all the children at least once in a year for the purpose of identifying "at-risk" cases; (d) provide facilities for training to the staff at the primary health centres; (e) sponsor or cause to be sponsored awareness campaigns and disseminate or cause to be disseminated information for general hygiene, health and sanitation; (f) take measures for pre-natal, pre-natal and post-natal care of mother and child; (g) educate the public through the pre-schools, schools, primary health centres, village level workers and anganwadi workers; (h) create awareness amongst the masses through television, radio and other mass media on the causes of disabilities and the preventive measures to be adopted.

Airports Authority Act of India Act Section 25

Title: Allocation of Surplus Funds

.....from transient causes or for purposes of replacement or for meeting expenditure arising from loss or damage from fire, cyclone, air-crash or other accident or for meeting any liability arising out of any act or commission in the discharge of its functions under this Act: Provided that without prejudice to the right of the Authority to establish specific reserves for one or more specific purposes, the Authority shall also have the power to establish a general reserve: Provided further that the sums set apart annually in respect of each or any of the specific and general reserves and the aggregate at any time of such sums shall not exceed such limits as may, from time to time, be fixed in that behalf by the Central Government. (2) After making provision for such reserve fund or funds and for bad and doubtful debts, depreciation in assets and all other matters which are usually provided for by companies registered and incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, the Authority shall pay the balance of its annual net profits to the Central Government.

The provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, as in force for the time being, shall apply to or in relation to, every worker employed in a cinema theatre in which five or more workers are employed or were employed on any day of the preceding twelve months, as they apply to, or in relation to, employees within the meaning of that Act.
