For section 25 of the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted, namely: -- "25. Punishment for allowing premises, etc., to be used for commission of an offence. Whoever, being the owner or occupier or having the control or use of any house, room, enclosure, space, place, animal or conveyance, knowingly permits it to be used for the commission by any other person of an offence punishable under any provision of this Act, shall be punishable with the punishment provided for that offence."

For section 25 of the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted, namely:- "25. Enforcement of orders of the District Forum, the State Commission or the National Commission.-(1) Where an interim order made under this Act, is not complied with the District Forum or the State Commission or the National Commission, as the case may be, may order the property of the person, not complying with such order to be attached. (2) No attachment made under sub-section (1) shall remain in force for more than three months at the end of which, if the non-compliance continues, the property attached may be sold and out of the proceeds thereof, the District Forum or the State Commission or the National Commission may award such damages as it thinks fit to the complainant and shall pay the balance, if any, to the party entitled thereto. (3) Where any amount is due from any person under an order made by a District Forum, State Commission or the National Commission, as the case may be, the person entitled to the amount may make an application to the District Forum, the State Commission or the National Commission, as the case may be, and such District Forum or the State Commission.....

In section 25 of the Wealth-tax Act, in sub-section (2), in the Explanation, - (i) in clause (a), after the words "an order passed", the words, figures and letters "on or before or after the 1st day of June, 1988", shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from the 1st day of June, 1988; (ii) in clause (b), for the word "includes", the words "shall include and shall be deemed always to have included" shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 1st day of June, 1988; (iii) in clause (c), - (a) after the words "of any appeal", the words, figures and letters "filed on or before or after the 1st day of June, 1988" shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from the 1st day of June, 1988; (b) after the words "shall extend", the words "and shall be deemed always to have extended" shall be inserted and shall be deemed to have been inserted with effect from the 1st day of June, 1988.
