Pay, etc., of members of forces to be charged on Federal revenues Any sums payable out of the revenues of the Federation in respect of pay, allowances, pensions or other sums payable to, or in respect of, persons who are serving, or have served, in His Majesty's forces shall be charged on those revenues, but nothing herein contained shall be construed as limiting the interpretation of the general provisions of this Act charging on the said revenues expenditure with respect to defence. ________________________ 1. Title: Liability of Principal Inducing Belief That Agents Unauthorized Acts Were Authorized

When an agent has, without authority, done acts or incurred obligations to third persons on behalf of his principal, the principal is bound by such acts or obligations, if he has by his words or conduct induced such third persons to believe that such acts and obligations were within the scope of the agent's authority. Illustration (a) A consigns goods to B for sale, and gives him instructions not to sell under a fixed price. C, being ignorant of B's instructions, enters into a contract with B to buy the goods at a price lower than the reserved price. A is bound by the contract. (b) A entrusts B with negotiable instruments endorsed in blank. B sells them to C in violation of private orders from A. The sale is good.

Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 Section 237

Title: Regulation or Prohibition of Certain Kinds of Cultivation

The municipal council, on the report of Director of Public Health, the Health Officer, or the local Medical Officer that the cultivation of any description of crop, or the use of any kind of manure, or the irrigation of land in any place within the limits of the1[municipal area] is injurious to the public health may, with the previous sanction of the Government, by public notice, regulate or prohibit the cultivation, use of manure, or irrigation so reported to be injurious: Provided that when such cultivation or irrigation has been practised during the five years preceding the date of such public notice with such continuity as the ordinary course of husbandry admits of, compensation shall be paid from the municipal fund to all persons interested for any damage caused to them by absolute prohibition. _______________________________ 1. Title: Power of Suspending Execution of Unlawful Orders or Resolution

.....to a breach of peace, he may by order suspend the execution or prohibit the doing thereof. (2) When the 1 [Adhyaksha of Taluk Panchayat] makes an order under sub-section (1), he shall forthwith forward to the 1 [Adhyaksha of the Zilla Panchayat] and the Grama Panchayat affected thereby a copy of the order with a statement of the reasons for making it, and the 1 [Adhyaksha of the Zilla Panchayat] may confirm or rescind the order or direct that it shall continue to be in force with or without modification permanently or for such period as he thinks fit: Provided that no order of the 1 [Adhyaksha of Taluk Panchayat] passed under sub-section (1) shall be confirmed, revised or modified by the 1 [Adhyaksha of the Zilla Panchayat] without giving the Grama Panchayat concerned a reasonable opportunity of showing cause against the proposed order. (3) If in the opinion of the 1 [Adhyaksha of the Zilla Panchayat], the execution of any order or resolution of a Taluk Panchayat or any order of any authority or officer of the Taluk Panchayat or the doing of anything which is about to be done, or is being done, by or on behalf of a Taluk Panchayat is unjust, unlawful or improper or is.....

New Delhi Municipal Council Act 1994 Section 237

Title: Prohibition of Building Without Sanction

(1) No person shall erect or commence to erect any building or execute any of the works specified in section 239 except with the previous sanction of the Chairperson not otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter and of the bye-laws made under this Act in relation to the erection of buildings or execution of works. (2) In such areas as may be specified by bye-laws made in this behalf, no roof, verandah, pandal or wall of a building or no shed or fence shall be constructed or reconstructed of cloth, grass leaves, mats or other inflammable materials except with the written permission of the Chairperson, nor shall any such roof, verandah, pandal, wall, shed or fence constructed or reconstructed in any year be retained in a subsequent year except with fresh permission obtained in this behalf.
