Title: Stay of Proceedings in Pursuance of Certificate and Amendment or Cancellation Thereof

(1) It shall be lawful for the Tax Recovery Officer to grant time for the payment of any tax and when he does so, he shall stay the proceedings for the recovery of such tax until the expiry of the time so granted. (2) Where the order giving rise to a demand of tax for which a certificate has been drawn up is modified in appeal or other proceeding under this Act, and, as a consequence thereof, the demand is reduced but the order is the subject-matter of further proceeding under this Act, the Tax Recovery Officer shall stay the recovery of such part of the amount specified in the certificate as pertains to the said reduction for the period for which the appeal or other proceeding remains pending. (3) Where a certificate has been drawn up and subsequently the amount of the outstanding demand is reduced as a result of an appeal or other proceeding under this Act, the Tax Recovery Officer shall, when the order which was the subject-matter of such appeal or other proceeding has become final and conclusive, amend the certificate, or cancel it, as the case may be.

(1) If a codicil is discovered after the grant of probate, a separate probate of that codicil may be granted to the executor, if it in no way repeals the appointment of executors made by the Will. (2) If different executors are appointed by the codicil, the probate of the Will shall be revoked, and a new probate granted of the Will and the codicil together.

Title: Zilla Panchayat Fund

(1) There shall be for each Zilla Panchayat a fund called the Zilla Panchayat Fund and the following shall form part of, or be paid into the Zilla Panchayat Fund, namely,- (i) the amount transferred to the Zilla Panchayat Fund by appropriation from out of the Consolidated Fund of the State; (ii) all grants, assignments, loans and contributions made by the Government; (iii) all fees and penalties paid to or levied by or on behalf of the Zilla Panchayat under this Act and all fines imposed under this Act; (iv) all rents from lands or other properties of the Zilla Panchayat; (v) all interests, profits and other moneys accruing by gifts, grants, assignments or transfers from private individuals or institutions; (vi) all proceeds of land, securities and other properties sold by the Zilla Panchayat; (vii) all sums received by or on behalf of the Zilla Panchayat by virtue of this Act: Provided that sums received by way of endowments for any specific purpose shall not form part of or be paid into the Zilla Panchayat Fund.

Title: Discharging Sewage, Etc.

Whoever causes or allows the water of any sink or sewer or any other liquid or other matter which is or which is likely to become offensive, from any building or land under his control, to run, drain, or be thrown or put upon any street or open space, or to soak through any external wall, or causes or allows any offensive matter from any sewer or privy to run, drain or be thrown into a surface drain in any street, without the permission in writing of the municipal council or who fails to comply with any condition prescribed in such permission, shall be punished with fine which may extend to twenty-five rupees.

(1) No person shall, except with the permission of the Chairperson and on payment of such fee as he in each case thinks fit, place or deposit upon any street, or upon any open channel, drain or well in any street or upon any public place any stall, chair, bench, box, ladder, bale or other thing whatsoever so as to form an obstruction thereto or encroachment thereon. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) applies to building material.
