Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 2013, Section 22

(1) The Authority may, by granting a certificate of registration under sub-section (3) of section 27, permit one or more persons to act as a point of presence for the purpose of receiving contributions and instructions, transmitting them to the Trustee Bank or the central recordkeeping agency, as the case may be, and paying out benefits to subscribers in accordance with the regulations made by the Authority from time to time in this regard. (2) A point of presence shall function in accordance with the terms of its certificate of registration and the regulations made under this Act.

Title: Execution of Bills of Exchange, Etc.

(1) A bill of exchange, hundi or promissory note shall be deemed to have been made, accepted, drawn or endorsed on behalf of a company if made, accepted, drawn, or endorsed in the name of, or on behalf of or on account of, the company by any person acting under its authority, express or implied. (2) A company may, by writing under its common seal, authorise any person, either generally or in respect of any specified matters, as its attorney to execute other deeds on its behalf in any place either in or outside India. (3) A deed signed by such an attorney on behalf of the company and under his seal shall bind the company and have the effect as if it were made under its common seal.

Title: Central Government to Allocate Required Quantity of Foodgrains from Central Pool to State Governments

.....allocate foodgrains in accordance with the number of persons belonging to the eligible households identified in each State under section 10. (3) The Central Government shall provide foodgrains in respect of entitlements under sections 4, 5 and section 6, to the State Governments, at prices specified for the persons belonging to eligible households in Schedule I. (4) Without prejudice to sub-section (1), the Central Government shall,-- (a) procure foodgrains for the central pool through its own agencies and the State Governments and their agencies; (b) allocate foodgrains to the States; (c) provide for transportation of foodgrains, as per allocation, to the depots designated by the Central Government in each State; (d) provide assistance to the State Government in meeting the expenditure incurred by it towards intra-State movement, handling of foodgrains and margins paid to fair price shop dealers, in accordance with such norms and manner as may be prescribed by the Central Government; and (e) create and maintain required modern and scientific storage facilities at various levels.

Wakf (Amendment) Act, 2013, (Central) Section 22

Title: Amendment of Section 32

In section 32 of the principal Act,-- (I) in sub-section (2),-- (a) for clause (j), the following clause, shall be substituted, namely:-- "(j) to sanction lease of any immovable property of a waqf in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder: Provided that no such sanction shall be given unless a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members of the Board present cast their vote in favour of such transaction: Provided further that where no such sanction is given by the Board, the reasons for doing so shall be recorded in writing."; (b) after clause (n), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-- "(na) to determine or cause to be determined, in such manner as may be specified by the Board, market rent of the waqf land or building;"; (II) in sub-section (4), for the words "offers a feasible potential for development as a shopping centre", the words "has the potential for development as an educational institution, shopping centre, market, housing or residential flats and the like" shall be substituted; (III) in sub-section (5), the words "with the prior approval of the Government," shall be omitted.

Title: Power to Require and Enforce the Making of Statements as to Names and Interests

(1) The Collector may also require any such person to make or deliver to him at a time and place mentioned (such time not being less than thirty days after the date of the requisition), a statement containing, so far as may be practicable, the name of every other person possessing any interest in the land or any part thereof as co-proprietor, sub-proprietor, mortgagee, tenant or otherwise, and of the nature of such interest, and of the rents and profits, if any, received or receivable on account thereof for three years next preceding the date of the statement. (2) Every person required to make or deliver a statement under this section shall be deemed to be legally bound to do so within the meaning of sections 175 and 176 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).

Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, (Central) Section 22

Title: Punishment for False Complaint or False Information

State: Central

Year: 2012

(1) Any person, who makes false complaint or provides false information against any person, in respect of an offence committed under sections 3, 5, 7 and section 9, solely with the intention to humiliate, extort or threaten or defame him, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine or with both. (2) Where a false complaint has been made or false information has been provided by a child, no punishment shall be imposed on such child. (3) Whoever, not being a child, makes a false complaint or provides false information against a child, knowing it to be false, thereby victimising such child in any of the offences under this Act, shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to one year or with fine or with both.
