Title: Priority of Claims

The claims arising out of the matters specified in the Second Schedule shall have priorities in accordance with the following principles, namely :- (a) Category I shall have precedence over all other categories and Category II shall have precedence over Category III, and so on; (b) the claims specified in each of the categories shall rank equally and be paid in full, but, if the amount is insufficient to meet such claims in full, they shall abate in equal proportions and be paid accordingly; and (c) the question of discharging any liability with regard to a matter specified in a lower category shall arise only if a surplus is left after meeting all the liabilities specified in the immediately higher category.

Public Servants (Inquiries) Act, 1850 Section 19

Title: Inquiry when Closed with Defence. Prosecutor when Entitled to Reply and Give Evidence. Accused Not Entitled to Adjournment

If the person accused makes only an oral defence, and exhibits no evidence, the inquiry shall end with his defence; if he records a written defence, or exhibits evidence the prosecutor shall be entitled to a general oral reply on the whole case, and may also exhibit evidence to contradict any evidence exhibited for the defence, in which case the person accused shall not be entitled to any adjournment of the proceedings, although such new evidence were not included in the list furnished to him.

Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 Section 19

Title: Punishment for Embezzlement of Opium by Cultivator

Any cultivator licensed to cultivate the opium poppy on account of the Central Government who embezzles or otherwise illegally disposes of the opium produced or any part thereof, shall be punishable with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than ten years but which may extend to twenty years and shall also be liable to fine which shall not be less than one lakh but which may extend to two lakh rupees: Provided that the court may, for reasons to be recorded in the judgment, impose a fine exceeding two lakh rupees.

National Tax Tribunal Act, 2005 Section 19

Save as provided in this Act, if after making or causing to be made an enquiry or inspection, the Board is satisfied that it is necessary-- (i) in the interest of investors, or orderly development of securities market; or (ii) to prevent the affairs of any depository or participant being conducted in the manner detrimental to the interests of investors or securities market, it may issue such directions,-- (a) to any depository or participant or any person associated with the securities market; or (b) to any issuer, as may be appropriate in the interest of investors or the securities market.

Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 Section 19

Title: Term of Office and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and Members

(1) The Chairperson and every Member shall hold office as such for a term of three years from the date on which he assumes office: Provided that no Chairperson or a Member shall hold the office for more than two terms: Provided further that no Chairperson or any other Member shall hold office as such after he has attained-- (a) in the case of Chairperson, the age of sixty-five years; and (b) in the case of a Member, the age of sixty years. (2) The Chairperson or a Member may, by writing under his hand addressed to the State Government, resign his office at any time.
