.....is not at the time of such notice the owner of such building or work, then such owner, to cause anything which is contrary to any provision of this Act or of any rule or bye-law made under this Act at the time in force or of any order passed under sub-section (3) of section 187 to be amended or to do anything which by any such provision or rule or bye-law or order he is required to do but has omitted to do. Title: Provisions as to Certain Obligations of the Railway Authority

(2) It shall be an obligation of the Authority to repay tothe Federa-tion any sums defrayed out of the revenues of Federation in respectof any debt, damages, costs, or expenses in, or in connection with, anyproceedings brought or continued by or against the Federation or against theSecretary of State under Part VII of this Act in respect of railways in India. (3) It shall be an obligation of the Authority to pay toany Province or Indian State such sums as may be equivalent to the expensesincurred by that Province or State in the provision of police required for themaintenance of order on Federal railway premises, and any question which mayarise between the Authority and a Province or State as to the amount of anyexpenses so incurred shall be determined by the Governor-General in hisdiscretion. ________________________ 1. Title: Power to Apportion Expenses Among Owners and Occupiers

(1) Whenever any expenses incurred by the municipality are to be paid by the owners of any land as provided in section 187 the municipality may, if there be more than one owner, apportion the said expenses among such of the owners as are Known in such manner as the municipality may deem fit. (2) Whenever any such expenses are to be paid by the occupiers of any land as provided in section 187 the municipality may, if there be more than one occupier, apportion the said expenses among such of the occupiers, as are known in such manner as the municipality may deem fit.

Title: Power to Make Bye-laws

Cattle Trespass Act,1871 Section 15

Title: Delivery to Owner Disputing Legality of Seizure but Making Deposit

If the owner or his agent appear and refuse to pay the said fines and expenses, on the ground that the seizure was illegal and that the owner is about to make a complaint under section 20, then, upon deposit of the fines and charges incurred in respect of the cattle, the cattle shall be delivered to him.

Title: Penalty on Pound-keeper Failing to Perform Duties

State: Central

Year: 1871

Any pound-keeper releasing or purchasing or delivering cattle contrary to the provisions of section 19, or omitting to provide any impounded cattle with sufficient food and water, or failing to perform any of the other duties imposed upon him by this Act, shall, over and above any other penalty to which he may be liable, be punished, on conviction before a Magistrate, with fine not exceeding fifty rupees. Such fines may be recovered by deductions from the pound-keeper's salary.

Railways Act, 1989 Section 187

Title: Restriction on Execution Against Railway Property

State: Central

Year: 1989

(1) No rolling stock, machinery, plant, tools, fittings, materials or effects used or provided by a railway administration for the purpose of traffic on its railway, or of its stations or workshops, shall be liable to be taken in execution of any decree or order of any court or of any local authority or person having by law the power to attach or distrain property or otherwise to cause property to be taken in execution, without the previous sanction of the Central Government. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) shall be construed to affect the authority of any court to attach the earnings of a railway in execution of a decree or order.
