Title: Abandoning Train, Etc., Without Authority

If any railway servant, when on duty, is entrusted with any responsibility connected with the running of a train, or of any other rolling stock from one station or place to another station or place, and he abandons his duty before reaching such station or place without authority or without properly handing over such train or rolling stock to another authorised railway servant, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

Cantonments Act, 2006 Section 173

Title: Means of Disinfection

(1) Every Board shall-- (a) provide proper places with necessary attendants and apparatus for the disinfection of conveyances, clothing, bedding or other articles which have been exposed to infection; (b) cause conveyances, clothing or other articles brought for disinfection to be disinfected either free of charge or on payment of such charges as the Chief Executive Officer may fix. (2) The Chief Executive Officer may notify places at which articles of clothing, bedding, conveyances or other articles which have been exposed to infection shall be washed, and, if it does so, no person shall wash any such thing at any place not so notified without having previously disinfected such thing. (3) The Chief Executive Officer may direct the destruction of any clothing, bedding or other article in the cantonment likely to retain infection, and may give such compensation as he thinks fit for any article so destroyed.

Whenever under this Act, the doing or the omitting to do anything or the validity of anything depends upon the consent, approval, declaration, opinion or satisfaction of a competent authority a written document signed by a competent authority purporting to convey or set forth such consent, approval, declaration, opinion or satisfaction shall be sufficient evidence thereof.

Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 173

Title: Annuity Created by Will Payable for Life Only Unless Contrary Intention Appears Will

Year: 1925

Where an annuity is created by Will, the legatee is entitled to receive it for his life only, unless a contrary intention appears by the Will, notwithstanding that the annuity is directed to be paid out of the property generally, or that a sum of money is bequeathed to be invested in the purchase of it. Illustrations (i) A bequeaths to B 500 rupees a year. B is entitled during his life to receive the annual sum of 500 rupees. (ii) A bequeaths to B the sum of 500 rupees monthly. B is entitled during his life to receive the sum of 500 rupees every month. (iii) A bequeaths an annuity of 500 rupees to B for life, and on B's death to C. B is entitled to an annuity of 500 rupees during his life. C, if he survives B, is entitled to an annuity of 500 rupees from B's death until his own death.

Manipur Municipalities Act, 1994 Section 173

Title: Penalty for Failure to Give Information of Cholera

State: Central

Whoever-- (a) being a medical practitioner and in the course of such practice becoming cognizant of the existence of cholera, plague, small pox or other infectious disease, that may be notified in this behalf by the Government in any dwelling-house other than a public hospital in the municipality, or (b) being the owner or occupier of such dwelling-house, and being cognizant of the existence of any such infectious disease therein, or (c) being the person in charge of, or in attendance, on a person suffering from any such infectious disease in such dwelling-house, and being cognizant of the existence of the disease therein, fails to give information within twenty-four hours of becoming so cognizant or gives false information to such officer as the Nagar Panchayat or as the case may be, the Council may appoint in this behalf respecting the existence of such disease shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.

Army Act, 1950 Section 173

Title: Communication of Certain Orders to Prison Officers

State: Central

Year: 1950

Whenever an order is duly made under this Act setting aside or varying any sentence, order or warrant under which any person is confined in a civil or military prison, a warrant in accordance with such order shall be forwarded by the officer making the order or his staff officer or such other person as may be prescribed to the officer in charge of the prison in which such person is confined.
