Title: Complainant and Witnesses Not to Be Required to Accompany Police Officer and Not to Be Subject to Restraint

No complainant or witness on his way to any Court shall be required to accompany a police officer, or shall be subject to unnecessary restraint or inconvenience, or required to give any security for his appearance other than his own bond: Provided that, if any complainant or witness refuses to altend or to execute a bond as directed in section 170, the officer in charge of the police station may forward him in custody to the Magistrate, who may detain him in custody until he executes such bond, or until the hearing of the case is completed.

Title: Execution of Sentence of Imprisonment in Special Cases

Whenever, in the opinion of an officer commanding an army, army corps, division or independent brigade, any sentence or portion of a sentence of imprisonment, cannot for special reasons, conveniently be carried out in a military prison or in military custody in accordance with the provisions of section 169 such officer may direct that such sentence or portion of sentence shall be carried out by confinement in any civil prison or other fit place.

Title: Disinfection of Building Before Letting the Same

(1)Where in a cantonment any building or part of a building is intended to be let, in which any person has, within six weeks immediately preceding, been suffering from an infectious or contagious disease, the person letting the building or part shall before doing so disinfect the same in such manner as the Chief Executive Officer may, by public or special notice, direct, together with all articles therein liable to retain infection. (2) For the purposes of this section, the keeper of a hotel, lodging house or sarai shall be deemed to let to any person who is admitted as a guest therein that part of the building in which such person is permitted to reside.

Title: Licences and Permissions to Specify Conditions, Etc. and to Be Signed

.....same is granted, and shall be given under the signature of the competent authority and such fee shall be charged therefor as is prescribed by any rule under this Act in that behalf. (2) Any licence or written permission granted under this Act may at any time be suspended or revoked by the competent authority if any of its conditions or restrictions is infringed or evaded by the person to whom it has been granted if such person is convicted of any offence in any matter to which such licence or permission relates. (3) When any such licence or written permission is suspended or revoked, or when the period for which the same was granted has expired, the person to whom the same was granted, shall, for all purposes of this Act, be deemed to be without a licence or written permission, until the order for suspending or revoking the same is cancelled, or until the same is renewed, as the case may be. (4) Every person to whom any such licence or written permission has been granted shall, while the same remains in force, at all reasonable times produce the same, if so required by a Police Officer. (1) When a property is brought to sale in public auction under section 169, if there be no bid, the1[Tahsildar] or other officer duly authorised by him may purchase the property on account of the Government for a value to be determined in the prescribed manner. (2) When a property is so purchased, the1[Tahsildar] may adjust such portion of the value as is necessary to cover the amount due to Government together with the cost of the sale and the defaulter shall be entitled on application to obtain payment of balance, if any, of such value. (3) Subject to the general or special orders of the State Government,the property so purchased may be disposed of by the1[Tahsildar] as he deems fit. _______________________________ 1. Title: Length of Notice for Calling Meeting

(1) A general meeting of a company may be called by giving not less than twenty-one days' notice in writing. (2) A general meeting may be called after giving shorter notice than that specified in sub-section (1), if consent is accorded thereto (i) in the case of an annual general meeting, by all the members entitled to vote thereat; and (ii) in the case of any other meeting by members of the company (a) holding, if the company has a share capital, not less than 95 per cent of such part of the paid-up share capital of the company as gives a right to vote at the meeting, or (b) having, if the company has no share capital, not less than 95 per cent of the total voting power exercisable at that meeting: Provided that where any members of a company are entitled to vote only on some resolution or resolutions to be moved at a meeting and not on the others, those members shall be taken into account for the purposes of this sub-section in respect of the former resolution or resolutions and not in respect of the latter.

.....or not the offender be prosecuted under this Act, by notice, -- (a) require the offender to show sufficient cause, by a written statementsigned by him and sent to the municipal council on or before such day as may be specified in the notice, why such extension, lay-out or street should not be altered to the satisfaction of the municipal council or if such alteration be deemed impracticable by the municipal council, why such extension, layout or street should not be demolished, or (b) require the offender to appear before the municipal council eitherpersonally or by a duly authorised agent in such way and at such time and place as may be specified in the notice and show cause as aforesaid. (2) If any person on whom such notice is served, fails to show sufficientcause to the satisfaction of the municipal council why such extension, layout or street should not be so altered or demolished, the municipal council may pass an order directing the alteration demolition of such extension, layout or street.
