Title: Members' right to inspect

(1) The register kept under sub-section (1) of section 170,-- (a) shall be open for inspection during business hours and the members shall have a right to take extracts therefrom and copies thereof, on a request by the members, be provided to them free of cost within thirty days; and (b) shall also be kept open for inspection at every annual general meeting of the company and shall be made accessible to any person attending the meeting. (2) If any inspection as provided in clause (a) of sub-section (1) is refused, or if any copy required under that clause is not sent within thirty days from the date of receipt of such request, the Registrar shall on an application made to him order immediate inspection and supply of copies required thereunder.

Title: Disinfection of Building Before Letting the Same

(1)Where in a cantonment any building or part of a building is intended to be let, in which any person has, within six weeks immediately preceding, been suffering from an infectious or contagious disease, the person letting the building or part shall before doing so disinfect the same in such manner as the Chief Executive Officer may, by public or special notice, direct, together with all articles therein liable to retain infection. (2) For the purposes of this section, the keeper of a hotel, lodging house or sarai shall be deemed to let to any person who is admitted as a guest therein that part of the building in which such person is permitted to reside.

.....Commission is the addressee, at the office of the Appropriate Commission; (c) where a company is the addressee, at the registered office of the company or, in the event of the registered office of the company not being in India, at the head office of the company in India; (d) where any other person is the addressee, at the usual or last known place of abode or business of the person. (2) Every notice, order or document by or under this Act required or authorised to be addressed to the owner or occupier of any premises shall be deemed to be properly addressed if addressed by the description of the owner or occupier of the premises (naming the premises), and may be served by delivering it, or a true copy thereof, to some person on the premises, or if there is no person on the premises to whom the same can with reasonable diligence be delivered, by affixing it on some conspicuous part of the premises.

Title: Public Drains, Etc., to Vest in the Council

.....constructed out of the New Delhi Municipal Fund or otherwise and all works, materials and things appertaining thereto, which are situated in New Delhi shall vest in the Council. (2) All public and other drains which are vested in the Council are hereafter in this Act referred to as municipal drains. (3) For the purposes of enlarging, deepening or otherwise repairing or maintaining any such drain or sewage collection work so much of the sub-soil appertaining thereto as may be necessary for the said purpose shall be deemed all so to vest in the Council. (4) All drains and ventilation shafts, pipes and all appliances and fittings connected with the drainage works constructed, erected or set up out of the New Delhi Municipal Fund in or upon premises not belonging to the Council whether-- (a) before or after the commencement of this Act, and (b) for the use of the owner or occupier of such premises or not, shall, unless the Council has otherwise determined, or does at any time otherwise determine, vest and be deemed always to have vested in the Council.

Section 171 - Application of certain sections relating to elections (1) The provisions of sections 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 shall apply mutatis mutandis in respect of election to Zilla Panchayat, the application being to the1[Civil Judge (Senior Division)] having jurisdiction and the deposit as security for costs being two thousand rupees. (2) Any person aggrieved by any decision or order of the1[Civil Judge (Senior Division)] under this section may, within thirty days from the date of such decision or order appeal to the District Judge and the decision of the District Judge on such appeal shall be final. ______________________ 1. The Corporation may, on the recommendation of the standing committee for 1 [taxation, finance and appeals] 2[in the case of corporations other than the corporation of the city of Bangalore and the standing committee for taxation and finance in the case of corporation of the city of Bangalore], during the year pass a supplemental budget estimate for the purpose of meeting any special or unforeseen requirements, arising during that year; so however that the estimated cash balance under General Account-Revenue at the close of the year shall not be reduced to less than one lakh of rupees: Provided that no item shall be included in the supplemental budget which had been disallowed by the Government while sanctioning the Budget. _________________________ 1. Title: Complainant and Witnesses Not to Be Required to Accompany Police Officer and Not to Be Subject to Restraint

No complainant or witness on his way to any Court shall be required to accompany a police officer, or shall be subject to unnecessary restraint or inconvenience, or required to give any security for his appearance other than his own bond: Provided that, if any complainant or witness refuses to altend or to execute a bond as directed in section 170, the officer in charge of the police station may forward him in custody to the Magistrate, who may detain him in custody until he executes such bond, or until the hearing of the case is completed.
