Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 Section 153

Title: Saving in Respect of Sections 150, 151 and 152

State: Central

(1) For the purposes of sections 150, 151 and 152 a reference 10 "liabilities to third parties" in relation to a person insured under any policy of insurance shall not include a reference to any liability of that person in the capacity of insurer under some other policy of insurance. (2) The provisions of sections 150, 151, and 152 shall not apply where a company is wound-up voluntarily merely for the purposes of reconstruction of an amalgamation with another company.

Title: Application of Provisions of Section 150, Act 8 of 1878 to Malt Liquor

The provisions of section 150 of the Sea Customs Act, 1878, with respect with the allowance of a drawback of excise-duty paid on spirit manufactured in [Subs, by the Adaptation of Laws (No.2) Order, 1956, for "Part A States and Part C States".] [the territories which, immediately before the 1st November 1956, were comprised in Part A States and Part C States] and exported to a foreign port, and with respect to the regulation of the draw back by the quantity of such spirit, shall apply also, so far as they can be made applicable to fermented liquor made in [Subs.by the Adaptation of Laws (No.2) Order, 1956, for "Part A States and Part C States".] [the said territories] from malt and so exported and to the drawback of the excise-duty paid on such liquor.

Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 Section 440

Title: Penalty for Disobeying Requisition Under Section 150 and Schedule Ix

State: Karnataka

Year: 1976

Any person who willfully neglects or refuses to comply with any requisition lawfully made upon him under section 150 and Schedule IX shall be punished with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees: Provided that no proceedings under this section shall be instituted except with the written sanction of the Commissioner: Provided further that before giving such sanction the Commissioner shall call upon the person against whom the procedings are to be instituted to show cause why the sanction should not be given.

Title: Amendment of Section 150

In section 150 of the Customs Act, in sub-section (2), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-- Provided that where it is not possible to pay the balance of sale proceeds, if any, to the owner of the goods within a period of six months from the date of sale of such goods or such further period as the Commissioner of Customs may allow, such balance of sale proceeds shall be paid to the Central Government. .

Electricity (Amendment) Act, 2007 Section 14

Title: Amendment of Section 150

In section 150 of the principal Act, after sub-section (2), the following shall be inserted, namely:-- '(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1) of section 135, subsection (1) of section 136, section 137 and section 138, the licence or certificate of competency or permit or such other authorisation issued under the rules made or deemed to have been made under this Act to any person who acting as an electrical contractor, supervisor or worker abets the commission of an offence punishable under sub-section (1) of section 135, sub-section (1) of section 136, section 137, or section 138, on his conviction for such abetment, may also be cancelled by the licensing authority: Provided that no order of such cancellation shall be made without giving such person an opportunity of being heard. Explanation.--For the purposes of this sub-section, "licensing authority" means the officer who for the time being in force is issuing or renewing such licence or certificate of competency or permit or such other authorisation.'.

Time limit for filling vacancies referred to in sections 147, 149, 150 and 151. - Notwithstanding anything contained in section 147, section 149, section 150 and section 151, a bye-election for filling any vacancy referred to in any of the said sections shall be held within a period of six months from the date of the occurrence of the vacancy: Provided that nothing contained in this section shall apply if-- (a) the remainder of the term of a member in relation to a vacancy is less than one year, or (b) the Election Commission in consultation with the Central Government certifies that it is difficult to hold the bye-election within the said period.] ______________________ 1. Title: Arrest for Offences Under Certain Sections

.....servant or the police officer or the officer authorised, as the case may be, may call to his aid any other person to effect the arrest under subsection (1) or sub-section (2), as the case may be. (4) Any person so arrested under this section shall be produced before the nearest Magistrate within a period of twenty-four hours of such arrest excluding the time necessary for the journey from the place of arrest to the court of the Magistrate.] ________________________ 1. In the Central Sales Tax Act, 1956(hereinafter referred to as the Central Sales Tax 74 of 1956. Act), in section 2, for clause (g), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- '(g) "sale", with its grammatical variations and cognate expressions, means any transfer of property in goods by one person to another for cash or deferred payment or for any other valuable consideration, and includes,- (i) a transfer, otherwise than in pursuance of a contract, of property in any goods for cash, deferred payment or other valuable consideration; (ii) a transfer of property in goods (whether as goods or in some other form) involved in the execution of a works contract; (iii) a delivery of goods on hire-purchase or any system of payment by instalments; (iv) a transfer of the right to use any goods for any purpose (whether or not for a specified period) for cash, deferred payment or other valuable consideration; (v) a supply of goods by any unincorporated association or body of persons to a member thereof for cash, deferred payment or other valuable consideration; (vi) a supply, by way of or as part of any service or in any other manner whatsoever, of goods, being food or.....
