In the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) (hereafter in this Chapter referred to as the Penal Code), in section 100, after clause Sixthly, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-- "Seventhly.--An act of throwing or administering acid or an attempt to throw or administer acid which may reasonably cause the apprehension that grievous hurt will otherwise be the consequence of such act.".

Patents (Amendment) Act, 2002 Section 41

In section 100 of the principal Act,-- (a) in sub-section (3), for the proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely :-- "Provided that in case of any such use of any patent, the patentee shall be paid not more than adequate remuneration in the circumstances of each case, taking into account the economic value of the use of the patent.". (b) in sub-section (5) for the words "unless it appears to the Government that it would be contrary to the public interest so to do", the words "except in case of national emergency or other circumstances of extreme urgency or for non-commercial use" shall be substituted; (c) in sub-section (6), for the words "right to sell the goods", the words "right to sell on non-commercial basis, the goods" shall be substituted.

Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Act 2008 Section 2

Title : Insertion of New Section 17e

After section 17D of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940(23 of 1940) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following section shall be inserted, namely,-- "17E. Adulterated cosmetics-For the purposes of this Chapter, a costmetic shall be deemed to be adulterated,-- (a) if it consists in whole or in part, of any filthy, putrid or decomposed substance; or (b) if it has been prepared, packed or stored under insanitary conditions whereby it may have been contaminated with filth or whereby it may have been rendered injurious to health; or (c) if its container is composed, in whole or in part, of any poisonous or deleterious substance which may render the contents injurious to health; or (d) if it bears or contains, for purposes of colouring only, a colour other than one which is prescribed; or (e) if it contains any harmful or toxic substance which may render it injurious to health; or (f) if any substance has been mixed therewith so as to reduce its quality or strength.".

Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 Section 101

A protest under section 100 must contain-- (a) either the instrument itself, or a literal transcript of the instrument and of everything written or printed thereupon; (b) the name of the person for whom and against whom the instrument has been protested; (c) a statement that payment or acceptance, or better security, as the case may be, has been demanded of such person by the notary public; the terms of hi s answer, if any, or a statement that he gave no answer, or that he could not be found; (d) when the note or bill has been dishonoured, the place and time of dishonour, and, when better security has been refused, the place and time of refusal; (e) the sub scription of the notary public making the protest; (f) in the event of an acceptance for honour or of a payment for honour, the name of the person by whom, of the person for whom, and the manner in which, such acceptance or payment was offered and effected. 1[A notary public may make the demand me ntioned in clause (c) of this section either in person or by hi s clerk or, were authorized by agreement or usage, by registered letter.] ____________________ 1. COMPANIES ACT, 1956 Section 77

Title : Restrictions on purchase by company, or loans by company for purchase, of its own or its holding company's shares
