Title: Prohibition to Apply Denomination of (25 of 1961) Registered Variety

.....or production; or (c) places, encloses or annexes the variety which is sold, or exposed for sale, or had in possession for sale or for any purpose of trade or production, in or with any package or other thing to which the denomination of such variety registered under this Act has been applied; or (d) uses the denomination of such variety registered under this Act in any manner reasonably likely to lead to the belief that the variety or its propagating material in connection with which it is used is designated or described by the denomination; or (e) in relation to the variety uses such denomination in any advertisement, invoice, catalogue, business letter, business paper, price list or other commercial document and such variety is delivered to a person in pursuance of a request or order made by reference to the denomination as so used. (3) A denomination shall be deemed to be applied to a variety whether it is woven in, impressed on, or otherwise worked into, or annexed or affixed to, such variety or to any package or other thing.

Title: Power to Acquire, Hold and Dispose of Property

(1) A Zilla Parishad shall have the power to acquire, hold and dispose of property and to enter into contracts: Provided that in all cases of acquisition or disposal of immovable property the Zilla Parishad shall obtain the previous approval of the Government. (2) All roads, buildings or other works constructed by a Zilla Parishad with its own funds shall vest in it. (3) The Government may allocate to a Zilla Parishad any public property situated within its jurisdiction, and thereupon such property shall vest in the Zilla Parishad. (4) Where a Zilla Parishad requires land to carry out any of the purposes of this Act, it may negotiate with the person or persons having interest in the said land, and if it fails to reach an agreement, it may make an application to the Deputy Commissioner for the acquisition of the land and the Deputy Commissioner may, if he is satisfied that the land is required for a public purpose, take steps to acquire the land under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and such land shall on acquisition, vest in the Zilla Parishad.

Any person who, (a) with intent to defraud the Government to duty, draws, makes or issues any bill of exchange or promissory note bearing a date subsequent to that on which such bill or note is actually drawn or made; or (b)knowing that such bill or note has been so post-dated, endorses, transfers, presents for acceptance or payment, or accepts, pays or receives payment of such bill or note, or in any manner negotiate the same; or (c)with the like intent, practices or is concerned in any act, contrivance or device not specially provided for by this Act or any other law for the time being in force; shall be publishable with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.
